This article provides an overview of the complaint details, the parties involved, and the charges filed.

Incident Details and Initial Report

According to the complaint, the informant, stationed at Mokila Police Station, received credible information regarding a gathering at the Raj Pakala farmhouse involving prohibited substances. Located at Sy No. 691 & 692 in Shree Mathe Properties, Janwada village, the farmhouse was reportedly hosting an event where foreign liquor and illicit drugs were being consumed.

Upon receiving this information, the complainant informed their superior officers, registered the details in the General Diary (GD), and initiated the necessary procedures. Officer Naveen (PC 7949) sent a request for search authorization to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Narsinghi. Following approval, Officer Pandaraiah (HC-2806) was instructed to bring two witnesses for the operation.

Preparation for the Search Operation

Around 10:00 p.m., Officer Pandaraiah brought the witnesses: Mr. Sandyapeta Hari, a businessman from Maharajpet, and Mr. Choudarpalli Pavan, a private employee from Donthanpally. A drug-testing kit, dog squad, and Special Operations Team (SOT) personnel were assembled to ensure a coordinated effort. By 10:30 p.m., the police team, comprising officers HC-2806, HC-3101, PC-7949, WASI-Shivarani, Excise Inspector Praveen Kumar, and SOT Inspector Rama Reddy, departed for the farmhouse.

Search Operation and Detention of Attendees

Upon arriving at the Raj Pakala farmhouse at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers observed separate groups of men and women consuming alcohol. When the police team entered, some attendees attempted to flee but were swiftly detained. A total of 38 individuals were taken into custody, including 16 women and 22 men. The complainant introduced himself to one of the detainees and presented a copy of the search warrant.

During the search, a urine test was conducted using a drug-testing kit. Among those tested, Mr. Madduri Vijay, a businessman residing in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, tested positive for cocaine. When female attendees were approached for drug testing, they refused to cooperate despite the presence of female officers.

Statements and Allegations from the Accused

During interrogation, Mr. Vijay revealed that he was a close acquaintance of Mr. Rajendra Prasad, also known as “Raj Pakala,” the owner of the farmhouse and a well-known software entrepreneur. Mr. Vijay identified himself as the CEO of ETG Software Company, owned by Mr. Pakala, and also the CEO of his own company, Fusion AIX Software. According to Mr. Vijay, Mr. Pakala had invited him to a Diwali celebration at the farmhouse, where drugs were allegedly available. Mr. Vijay admitted to consuming cocaine at the party.

Seizure of Evidence

Following Mr. Vijay’s statement, officers seized his drug test kit and mobile phone. A comprehensive search of the farmhouse led to the discovery of three aluminum briefcases containing sets of playing cards in various colors, along with alcohol seized by the excise staff. All items were cataloged and seized under a formal panchanama, with witnesses signing the documents as per legal requirements.
