The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has reassured devotees that there should no longer be any concerns regarding the purity of the Srivari Laddu Prasadam. In light of recent issues at the sacred temple, the TTD officials conducted a “Shanti Homam” as an act of repentance, ensuring that all negative influences have been removed.
Shanti Homam Performed to Cleanse All Issues
Speaking to the media after the conclusion of the rituals, TTD Executive Officer Shyamal Rao stated that the Shanti Homam was carried out to atone for the misdeeds that occurred within the temple. Venu Gopal Dikshitulu, the chief priest, added that after the Shanti Homam, the Samprokshana rituals were performed in all departments of the temple to ensure the cleansing of every aspect.
The temple authorities also assured that they had completed the Maha Naivedyam for the deity. Furthermore, the Samprokshana process extended to the Prasadam production centers to eliminate any doubts among devotees about the sanctity of the offerings.
Samprokshana Ritual Ensures Sanctity of the Prasadam
Chief Priest Venu Gopal Dikshitulu explained that the Samprokshana, a traditional purification process, was carried out to remove any lingering negativity. This initiative was undertaken so that devotees would no longer harbor any suspicions about the temple’s rituals and the Laddu Prasadam.
He further clarified that the final ritual, known as the Purnahuti, signified the complete removal of all doshas (flaws) from the temple. He urged devotees to remain calm and not worry about the recent incidents.
SIT Investigation into Tirumala Temple Ritual Errors
The recent events, which led to some concerns, have now been resolved. A special investigation team (SIT) has been appointed to review any ritualistic errors that may have taken place in the past. Venu Gopal Dikshitulu noted that the Shanti Homam was performed to cleanse the temple and ensure that any unintentional mistakes, such as the use of ghee, were corrected well before the Pavitrotsavam (a significant festival).
No More Doubts About Srivari Laddu Prasadam
In addressing concerns regarding the purity of the Srivari Laddu Prasadam, TTD emphasized that there should no longer be any uncertainties. The ghee used in the Prasadam preparation was changed prior to the Pavitrotsavam, and the Laddu offerings produced since then have been prepared with the utmost care and sanctity. The priests assured that both intentional and unintentional mistakes have been addressed through the Shanti Homam and Samprokshana rituals.
TTD officials confirmed that with the completion of these rituals, all doshas have been cleansed, allowing devotees to have full faith in the temple’s offerings.
In conclusion, devotees are urged not to have any doubts or concerns about the Srivari Laddu Prasadam, as every possible step has been taken to ensure the sanctity and purity of the offerings.
