Leading Districts in Paddy Procurement Several districts have emerged as leaders in this procurement drive, including Jagitial, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Siddipet, Sircilla, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Sangareddy, Nirmal, Mancherial, and Janagama. Early Start to Procurement Centers Unlike previous years where procurement centers would start operations in April, this year they began two weeks earlier on March 25. By June 7, a remarkable 4.707 million metric tons of paddy had already been procured. The state’s civil supplies department has noted that while the procurement process has concluded in many areas, they expect paddy to continue arriving at the centers for the next ten days.
