Chiluveru Sahithi, an engineering graduate, left her job at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) after four years to pursue her passion for cooking. In 2022, she launched an Instagram page, “Flavours of Telugu,” showcasing a variety of authentic snacks, pickles, sweets, powders, fryums, masalas, millet products, and instant mixes.

From Corporate Life to Culinary Entrepreneurship

Sahithi’s transition from a corporate job to entrepreneurship was driven by her love for cooking and a desire to create something meaningful. Her Instagram page quickly gained popularity as she shared videos of her culinary creations, attracting food enthusiasts from around the world, including NRIs in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.

Operating from two rooms in her house, Sahithi employs ten women to help with various tasks. She handles customer inquiries from distant places using her mobile phone, ensuring smooth communication and efficient service. Her venture, which started with one or two orders a day, now receives 30 to 40 orders daily, reflecting its remarkable growth.

Sahithi’s dedication to authenticity and quality has been the cornerstone of her success. She offers 40 types of snacks, 15 varieties of pickles, and numerous sweets, powders, fryums, masalas, millet products, and instant mixes. Her creations have resonated with customers who compare the taste and quality to the home-cooked meals prepared by their grandparents.

Sahithi’s business not only satisfies the taste buds of foodies worldwide but also provides employment opportunities for women in her village. By engaging ten women directly and another ten indirectly, she has made a significant impact on her local community.
