The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has implemented stringent rules for the Group-1 Prelims 2024 exam. These measures are designed to ensure a fair and smooth examination process, minimizing the risk of errors or malpractices. The exam will be held on June 9th from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Here are the detailed guidelines candidates must follow: Arriving at the Exam Center Candidates must arrive at their designated exam center at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam. This allows ample time for security checks and other formalities. Dress Code and Personal Items Candidates are required to wear only slippers. Shoes are not allowed. Both male and female candidates must avoid wearing any jewelry, as this is prohibited. Handling Personal Belongings Candidates are responsible for bringing their own materials to the exam center. Sharing or borrowing items during the exam is strictly forbidden. Communication Protocol If candidates have any doubts or need clarification during the exam, they must only communicate with the invigilator. Talking to other candidates or engaging in any form of misconduct will result in severe penalties. Consequences of Malpractice Any candidate found engaging in malpractice will face immediate action, including the filing of a police report. Such candidates will be disqualified from the examination. Invigilator’s Authority The invigilator’s decision is final within the exam hall. Candidates must comply with all instructions and decisions made by the invigilator. Verification Process Candidates will be allowed into the exam hall only after thorough verification of their personal details and identification documents. Before the exam begins, candidates must sign their hall ticket and other necessary documents in the presence of the invigilator, who will also sign them. Hall Ticket Instructions Candidates must download their hall ticket from the official website and print it on an A4 sheet. They should affix a recent passport-size photograph in the designated space on the hall ticket. Additional Documents If the photograph on the hall ticket is not clear, candidates must bring three attested passport-size photographs and a verification document from the website, attested by a gazetted officer or the principal of their last attended educational institution. Ensuring Accuracy Candidates should verify all the details on their hall ticket during the download process to ensure accuracy. Questions such as why the tapping was done, the strategies involved, and how they were executed have been answered. These details were disclosed by Radha Kishan Rao, the former DCP of the Task Force, in his statement to the investigating officers. Admitting to Illegal Actions The phone tapping was allegedly carried out with the intention of trapping the BJP. The targets were primarily those who criticized KCR. Surveillance was placed not only on opposition leaders like Revanth Reddy, Eatala Rajender, Bandi Sanjay, and R.S. Praveen Kumar, but also on some members within the ruling party itself. Radha Kishan Rao's testimony revealed that the surveillance began before the 2018 Assembly elections and continued through the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, subsequent by-elections, and even the 2023 elections. Surveillance on Political Figures The operation, led by SIB DSP Praneeth Rao under the direction of SIB IG Prabhakar Rao, involved monitoring the phones of various political leaders. The collected information was frequently shared with the police commissioner. This surveillance aimed at ensuring smooth financial transactions for the ruling party while disrupting those of the opposition. Monitoring TRS Leaders Prabhakar Rao regularly discussed the political developments in various constituencies and the threats posed to the TRS with Radha Kishan Rao. They kept Praneeth Rao in the loop, who in turn monitored leaders, including prominent TRS members. Those under surveillance included then PCC President Revanth Reddy, T. Rajaiah, Patnam Mahender Reddy, R.S. Praveen Kumar, Eatala Rajender, Bandi Sanjay, and Raghaveer Reddy, son of Jana Reddy. Businessmen and real estate developers were also monitored. BJP's Challenge and KCR's Strategic Response Following the BJP's victories in the Dubbaka and Huzurabad by-elections, KCR took the Munugode by-election very seriously, aiming to halt the BJP's momentum. Reports emerged that some BJP leaders were attempting to lure Tandur MLA Rohith Reddy into their party. Based on this information, KCR decided to intensify the monitoring efforts. Praneeth Rao was tasked with overseeing the surveillance, which included tapping phones and creating an audio clip of their conversations for KCR.
