orders were issued enhancing the incentive award from 10,000/- to Rs.50,000/- for inter caste married couple under Centrally Sponsored Scheme on 50:50 sharing basis by the centre and the State Government.Director(SCD), Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, New Delhi has requested to provide Rs.2.50 Lakhs to each Intercaste married couples by fixed deposits in the bank accounts with a lock-in period of (3) years and requested that the expenditure in addition of Rs.2.50 lakhs shall be borne by the State Govt./Union Territories.
Director, Scheduled Castes Development, Telangana State, Hyderabad has requested the Government for enhancement of Incentive award to the Intercaste married couples from Rs.50,000/- to Rs.2,50,000/-, as desired by the Government of India to encourage the Intercaste marriages to combat the evil of casteism in the society and to achieve the objective of social integration, besides supporting such SC individuals.
Government after careful examination of the matter in detail, has decided and hereby order to enhance the Incentive award to the Intercaste married couples from Rs.50,000/- to Rs.2,50,000/-, as desired by the Government of India to encourage the Intercaste marriages to combat the evil of casteism in the society and to achieve the objective of social integration, besides supporting such SC individuals.
The Director, Scheduled Castes Development, Telangana State, Hyderabad shall take necessary immediate action accordingly.
This orders issues with the concurrence of Finance (SCSDF) Department, vide their U.O.No.8656/186/SCSDF/2018, dated:12.11.2018.
