In a strategic move, the railway authorities have increased the number of special trains originating from Andhra Pradesh to cater to the heightened demand. A total of 50 trains have been meticulously scheduled, alleviating concerns over the previous surge in cancellations. The decision to augment rail services stems from the imperative need to facilitate the pilgrimage of lakhs of devotees daily, thus avoiding severe disruptions.

1. Exclusive Railway Services to Sabarimala

Devotees from Andhra Pradesh can now embark on a seamless journey to Sabarimala, thanks to the introduction of dedicated rail services. The distinctive feature of these services is their emphasis on ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free pilgrimage.

2. Trains from Andhra Pradesh

A comprehensive network of 50 trains has been organized, originating from various cities in Andhra Pradesh. This extensive coverage aims to accommodate the diverse travel requirements of devotees across the state.

3. Strategic Schedule

Notable among these is the 07113/07114 special train commencing from Kakinada Town on January 28, February 4, 11, and 18. Departing at 5:40 PM, the train reaches Kakinada Town at 10:00 PM, ensuring a convenient journey for passengers.

4. Extended Services

The special train, continuing its journey, is scheduled for another round on January 30, February 6, 13, and 20, departing at 12:30 AM and reaching Kakinada by 5:00 AM, allowing flexibility for devotees.

This special service connects prominent stations like Samarlakota, Anaparthi, Rajamahendravaram, Nidadavolu, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikaluru, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Tenali, Bapatla, Cheerala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpet, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, and Ernakulam, ensuring accessibility for pilgrims.

On January 6 and 13, the 07009/07010 special train from Secunderabad to Sabarimala will operate. Departing at 6:45 PM, the train reaches Sabarimala at 10:05 PM, with a return journey scheduled for January 8 and 15, departing at 12:30 AM and reaching Secunderabad at 5:00 AM.
