Guidelines for Indiramma Illu scheme in Telangana 11 March 2024

Govt of TG issued Guidelines for Indiramma Illu scheme in Telangana 11th March 2024, The Telangana government has decided to provide financial assistance in four phases to the beneficiaries of the Indiramma Housing Scheme, who have been selected to realize the dream of owning a house for the poor.

The total amount of Rs. 5 lakhs will be released directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Aadhaar based on the inspection of the officials after the construction phase.

Guidelines finalized:

  • Landowners:

The government will provide Rs. 5 lakhs as a subsidy for the construction of a house for those who have land.

  • Landless:

The government will provide Rs. 5 lakhs for land and house construction for those who do not have land.

  • Phase-wise assistance:

The assistance will be provided in four phases:

  • Basement level: Rs. 1 lakh
  • Roof level: Rs. 1 lakh
  • After roof construction: Rs. 2 lakhs
  • After completion of construction: Rs. 1 lakh

Eligibility criteria:

  • The beneficiary must be below the poverty line (BPL).
  • The beneficiary will be identified on the basis of the food security card.
  • The beneficiary must have their own land or the government must have provided land.
  • Must be a resident of village or municipal limits.
  • Even those who have a hut, a house with a thatched roof, or a temporary house with mud walls are eligible.
  • Even if you live in a rented house, you can be a beneficiary.
  • Even if married and living in a joint family, you can be selected as a beneficiary.
  • Single women and widows are also eligible.

House sanction:

  • The Indiramma house will be sanctioned in the name of the woman.
  • If there are widows in the house, it will be given in her name.
  • The house will be sanctioned by the District Collector after consulting the District In-charge Minister.
  • The Collector will select the beneficiaries only after getting approval in the Gram and Ward Sabhas.
  • The list of beneficiaries will be displayed and reviewed in the Gram Sabha and finalized.
  • Teams selected by the Collector in districts and Commissioner in Greater Hyderabad will verify the eligibility of the beneficiaries.
  • The list of beneficiaries will be displayed in the Gram Ward Sabha.

Construction norms:

  • The house construction should be taken up in 400 square feet.
  • Kitchen and bathroom should be separate.
  • The house should be built with RCC roof.

Launch on 11th:

The Indiramma Housing Scheme will be launched on the 11th of this month in Bhadrachalam by CM KCR as part of the six guarantees given by the Congress party during the elections.

State reserve quota:

The government has decided to construct 4.50 lakh houses every year. 3,500 houses have been sanctioned for each assembly constituency. Accordingly, the government will allocate 4,16,500 houses to 119 assembly constituencies in the state. The government has decided to keep the remaining 33,500 houses under the state reserve quota. Funds have also been allocated in the budget for this.

Special officers:

The government has decided to appoint special officers to oversee the construction phases.

This is a great initiative by the Telangana government to help the poor realize their dream of owning a house.
