Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 Release Date and Exciting Details from Ashwini Dutt

Kalki Part 2 Release Date: The film “Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas, is currently making waves at the box office. Producer Ashwini Dutt shared some intriguing insights about the film.

Box Office Success of Kalki 2898 AD: “Kalki 2898 AD,” featuring Prabhas, has been setting records at the box office. In just two days, the film has grossed ₹298.5 crores, and it is expected to surpass ₹500 crores soon, with projections indicating it might even reach ₹1000 crores. As the movie continues its triumphant run, producer Ashwini Dutt discussed the reasons behind starting the project, citing the confidence in stars like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. He particularly praised Nag Ashwin’s visionary direction.

No Hesitation in Trusting Nag Ashwin’s Vision: “After ‘Mahanati,’ I believed Nag Ashwin could handle any large-scale project. I conveyed this trust to my family, advising them to move forward with whatever subject he proposed. Having spent over 50 years in the industry, I’ve always supported directors’ visions without questioning them.”

Casting Decisions and Surprises: “Industry veterans are praising Nag Ashwin’s direction in ‘Kalki.’ He meticulously crafted Amitabh’s role, even though I was shocked when Amitabh touched my feet during promotions. We didn’t initially plan anyone for Krishna’s role, which is why his face is not revealed in the film. Before starting the movie, we consulted legendary director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, whose suggestions greatly benefited us. The concept of Bujji was entirely Nag Ashwin’s idea. For the role of Supreme Yaskin, Kamal Haasan wasn’t the first choice. However, we had Vijay Deverakonda and others in mind for their roles from the beginning.”

When Will Part 2 Be Released?: “During the script discussions, we decided to split the movie into two parts. Once Kamal Haasan joined, we were certain about this decision. Some filming for ‘Kalki 2898 AD Part 2’ is already complete, but key scenes and VFX work remain. It might take over a year to finish. We haven’t set a release date yet, but it could be around this time next year. The story is planned only up to ‘Kalki 2.’ We haven’t considered a Part 3 yet.”

Support from the Stars: “We didn’t plan ‘Kalki’ to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Vyjayanthi Movies; it happened spontaneously. Nag Ashwin skillfully blended mythological characters into the story. We’re not specifically chasing records, but our team is enjoying the success. Financially, we faced no difficulties during filming. Stars like Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan gave us the confidence to invest ₹600 crores. Kamal Haasan’s role in the second half is bound to be phenomenal. I will always be indebted to the actors and technicians I’ve worked with over the years.”

Commitment to the Film Industry in Andhra Pradesh: “We will contribute to the development of the film industry in Andhra Pradesh. The state has faced challenges over the past five years, but with Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister, both the state and the film industry will surely develop. I don’t need any official positions. Raising ticket prices in both Telugu states was a good decision, reducing black ticketing and benefiting the industry. Accusations that producers are profiting from higher ticket prices are unfounded. Ticket prices will normalize after a week. Besides ‘Kalki Part 2,’ Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Movies are producing two more films. One of them is ‘Champion,’ starring Srikanth’s son, and another featuring Dulquer Salmaan.”

Kalki 2898 AD is a three-hour movie that captivates audiences from start to finish, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. The twist at the end is particularly stunning, leaving viewers in awe and deeply moved. The intricate plot twist is likely missed by many due to its deep meaning, prompting the need for an ending explanation video. Additionally, the video will discuss the project within the movie and hints at a sequel.

Project K and Kalki Part 2 Discussion:

The “Project K” revolves around several key characters and their interconnected stories:

  1. Supreme Yaskeen: To maintain power, Supreme Yaskeen requires a serum that is extracted from a formula seeded into fertile girls. Due to widespread infertility in 2898, finding a suitable girl is challenging. The formula, being far advanced beyond human DNA, poses a significant risk to the girls, often resulting in death within three months. After extensive efforts, they finally find Sumati, who can sustain the seed for 150 days, making her crucial to their mission.
  2. Sumati’s Role: Sumati, being able to grow the seed for the required time, becomes pivotal. However, complications arise, drawing the involvement of rebels who aim to protect her. The rebels believe in a prophecy about a mother who will give birth to a god that will save the world, seeing Sumati as this mother due to her unique capability.
  3. Ashwathama: A key character from the Mahabharata, Ashwathama is cursed by Krishna and is destined to protect Kalki in the future. The project and the serum’s effects lead Ashwathama to recognize the significance of Sumati’s pregnancy, tying his fate to hers.
  4. Bhairava: The bounty hunter Bhairava is revealed to be the reincarnation of Karna, another significant character from the Mahabharata. He is drawn into the story through his bounty on Sumati, bringing various factions together.

Ending Explained:

The ending reveals a major twist: Bhairava is actually Surya Putra Karna reborn. This is hinted at earlier in the film with visual cues like the wheel (a symbol associated with Karna) and is confirmed when he receives the Vijaya bow. This sets up an epic showdown reminiscent of the Mahabharata, where Karna’s and Arjuna’s legendary battle is re-enacted, with Supreme Yaskeen now wielding Arjuna’s Gandiva bow.

Post-Credit Scene:

The post-credit scene shows Supreme Yaskeen gaining immense power from a single drop of the serum, capable of lifting the Gandiva bow, indicating his preparation for a significant confrontation in the sequel.

Sequel Predictions:

The second part will likely focus on the clash between Supreme Yaskeen and the combined forces of Ashwathama, Bhairava, and Sumati. Supreme Yaskeen, now aware of the ancient prophecies and the emerging threats, will be a formidable opponent. Ashwathama will aim to protect Sumati and ensure the birth of Kalki. Bhairava’s transformation and realization of his past life as Karna will also be crucial to the narrative.

Overall, the sequel promises an intense continuation of the story, blending futuristic elements with mythological references, particularly focusing on the impending battle and the birth of Kalki, who will ultimately face off against Kali.
