Telangana Congress Party’s Goal for 2029 Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister

In a recent address, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy compared the 2023 elections to semi-finals, stating that the 2029 elections will be the finals for the Congress party. He emphasized the importance of winning these upcoming elections to hoist the Congress flag over the Red Fort and make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister.

Congress Party’s Goal for 2029: Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister

Revanth Reddy highlighted that the previous elections were only a preliminary victory. He expressed confidence that the Congress party would emerge victorious in the 2029 parliamentary elections, securing 15 seats in the state and ensuring the party’s dominance at the national level. “We will only consider it a true victory when Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister,” he stated, calling on party members to remain active and not rest until their goals are achieved.

Congress’ Winning Streak and Plans for the Future

Reflecting on the past, Revanth Reddy noted that Congress won the elections in 2004 and 2009, while the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) won in 2014 and 2018. He confidently stated that Congress is set to win again in the upcoming Assembly elections, securing continuous power for the next decade. Reddy criticized the opposition for filing cases against Congress workers and attempting to create disturbances. However, he assured party members that they would not be intimidated, stating, “Congress workers won’t provoke anyone, but if provoked, we won’t stay silent.”

Leadership and Trust in Mahesh Kumar Goud

During the event, Revanth Reddy expressed complete trust in Mahesh Kumar Goud, the newly appointed President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). Reddy praised Goud’s leadership abilities and emphasized that he would stand firmly behind him. He mentioned that the recent elections were mainly focused on leaders, but future elections, including local elections such as sarpanch and Zilla Parishad polls, would involve Congress workers. The party, under Goud’s leadership, would work tirelessly to ensure their success. “We will conduct the BC caste census in the next three to four months and then hold local body elections,” Reddy added, stressing the importance of coordination and hard work in the coming months.

Harish Rao’s Unfulfilled Promise

Turning his attention to the promises made by the opposition, Reddy questioned the whereabouts of Harish Rao, a prominent leader who had vowed to resign. Reddy pointed out that the Congress government had fulfilled its promise by waiving off loans for farmers and depositing Rs. 18,000 crores for 23 lakh farmers, bringing joy to their faces. He challenged Harish Rao to fulfill his resignation promise and assured farmers that those with outstanding debts of over Rs. 2 lakhs would receive loan waivers if they promptly cleared their dues with the banks. “Our government is committed to providing a Rs. 500 bonus per quintal for fine rice starting from the next harvest,” Reddy promised, highlighting Congress’ farmer-friendly policies.

35,000 New Jobs by Year-End

Revanth Reddy proudly announced the creation of 35,000 new jobs by the end of this year, adding that the Congress government had already provided 65,000 jobs within the first year of coming to power. “No other government in the country has created this many jobs in such a short time,” he claimed. He further emphasized the importance of education and praised his government for transferring 35,000 teachers and promoting 19,000 of them, while also providing free electricity to schools.

Telangana’s Vision for Olympic Gold

Reddy raised concerns over India’s poor performance in global sports, questioning why a country with a population of 140 crore has not won a single gold medal. He pointed to South Korea, a nation similar in size to Telangana, which has won 16 Olympic medals, and vowed to set up a sports university in Telangana to train athletes for the 2028 Olympics. “We will achieve gold in the 2028 Olympics,” he affirmed.

Development of Hyderabad and Future City Plans

Revanth Reddy credited previous leaders like Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and N. Chandrababu Naidu for developing Hyderabad’s international reputation, especially through the construction of the airport and Cyberabad. He promised that Congress would continue this legacy by transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city. “We will take up the responsibility of building a futuristic city in Hyderabad,” he declared, underscoring the Congress party’s long-term vision for the region’s development.

Delivery of Two Key Guarantees Within 48 Hours of Coming to Power

In a bold statement, Reddy asserted that the Congress government had already implemented two major guarantees within 48 hours of coming to power. These guarantees include providing free travel for 85 crore women in RTC buses and raising the Rajiv Arogyasri scheme’s insurance limit to Rs. 10 lakhs to ensure healthcare access for the poor. Additionally, the government is supplying 200 units of free electricity to brighten the homes of the poor and has offered gas cylinders at a subsidized rate of Rs. 500.

Rs. 2 Lakh Loan Waiver for Farmers

Staying true to its promise, the Congress government waived Rs. 2 lakh worth of loans for farmers, which brought immense relief and joy to the farming community. Reddy recalled how the Congress had promised to waive off loans during their election campaign, and they delivered within the promised timeline, ensuring that farmers could continue their work without the burden of debt.

Employment Opportunities and Skill Development

Reddy further highlighted the Congress government’s efforts to boost employment and enhance skills among the youth. He took a jab at KCR and KTR, accusing them of dismissing jobs. In contrast, he emphasized that the Congress party had created 30,000 jobs within just three months of coming into power. Additionally, Reddy pointed to the establishment of the Young India Skill University, which is dedicated to improving skill development and employability among Telangana’s youth.

In conclusion, CM Revanth Reddy’s address reflects the Congress party’s ambitious plans for the future. With a strong focus on local and national elections, job creation, skill development, and rural welfare, the party aims to consolidate its position in Telangana and play a pivotal role in national politics by 2029.
