Mr. Naidu has been named as accused number 1 in the case. Details of the FIR and other details were provided to Mr. Naidu’s advocates, who also demanded prima facie evidence, pointing out that the former chief minister’s name was not mentioned in the FIR report. The former Andhra Pradesh CM has been charged under sections for criminal conspiracy, cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property.
Before arresting him, in the video shared by TDP, Mr. Naidu was seen demanding the police to provide him the FIR copy. “How could you arrest me without having my name in the FIR. Without providing the material. You have to give me all the information,” demanded Mr. Naidu.
Naidu’s arrest an act of political vengeance: Pawan Kalyan Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan has said that former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest was an act of political vengeance. He strongly condemned the arrest and took strong objection to detention of TDP leaders and activists whose right it was to protest against the shabby treatment being meted to Mr. Naidu.
