In the circumstances reported by the Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad in the letter 2nd read above, the Government after careful examination have decided to issue Amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Police (Stipendiary Cadet trainee) Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.315, Home(Pol.C)Dept, dated 13.10.1999.

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Police (Stipendiary Cadet Trainee) Rules, 1999 issued in G.O.Ms.No.315, Home (Pol.C) Dept., dated 13-
10-99 and published in Supplement to Part-I of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No: 41-A, dated 18th November, 1999 and as subsequently amended from time to time.
In the said rules;
(i) For para-2 of sub-rule (1) of rule 8, the following shall be substituted namely:-
“The trainees shall not be entitled for any other allowances or special pays etc., no stipend would be paid for any period of unauthorized absence etc., and a proportionate amount shall be deducted from stipend calculating a month as thirty days. The authorized medical rest as in patient in Government Hospital or in the training institutions shall not result in deduction in stipend. However, the trainee will be authorized for stipend for the period of term break of one week and for the period of fifteen (15) days authorized leave”.
(ii) For para-3 of rule 10 the following shall be substituted namely:
”A mid term break of one week shall be given to the trainees on completion of four (4) months of training for all categories of Stipendiary trainees, with the stipendiary amount for such period”.
