Orders were issued permitting the Commissioner, Rural Development, Hyderabad to setup a society by name “Society for Rural Development Services” (SRDS) to work within the office of the Commissioner, Rural Development, Hyderabad to fulfil the conditions laid down in the new watershed guidelines issued by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and to provide services related to HR Management, Capacity Building, Management of CLRC/DLRCs etc., in an effective manner. It is also ordered therein that the SRDS shall be constituted as per the memorandum and by-laws annexed to the G.O as Document-I and Document-II and get registered under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Areas) Public Societies Act, 1350 fasli.
The Director, Rural Development and the CEO, SRDS, Hyderabad has submitted proposals to strengthen the SRDS to function in an efficient manner due to increase of the role and functions of SRDS in the areas of selection and recruitment of personnel for MGNREGS and other schemes and increase of disciplinary cases, and hence requested for certain amendments for rules of SRDS.
The Government after careful examination decide to amend rule no.12 and 17 of Document-II to the GO in respect of constitution of Executive Committee with its members as empowered under rule no.24 of the rules of SRDS.
Therefore, In exercise of the powers conferred under rule no.24 of SRDS, Government hereby issue the following amendment to G.O above, with immediate effect.
Rule 12 in Document No.II, annexed to the G.O Ms No.338 PR & RD (RDIII) Dept., dt.06.09.2008 shall be modified and read as follows :-

Rule 17 in Document No.II, annexed to the G.O Ms No.338 PR & RD (RDIII) Dept., dt.06.09.2008 shall be modified and read as follows: –

Note: When the Government appoints a retired Gazetted Officer of Government of Andhra Pradesh as the Member Secretary, all the administrative, financial and appeal powers enumerated under Rule 17 (a to f) and 17 (B) vested with Member Secretary, devolves to CEO; and however, the CEO may for administrative convenience, delegate whole or some of such powers to such Member Secretary, through an executive order.
