The Director of Municipal Administration, Telangana, Hyderabad has stated that, the Commissioner, Meerpet Municipal Corporation has submitted a proposal for division of Meerpet Municipal Corporation into forty six (46) wards after following the due procedure as prescribed and requested to issue final notification.

Telangana Gazette: NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Telangana Municipalities Act No.11 of 2019 read with Telangana Municipalities (Division of Municipalities into wards) Rules 2019, issued in G.O.Ms.No.78, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA) Department, Dated 29.06.2019, the Governor of Telangana hereby notify the division of Meerpet Municipal Corporation into forty six (46) wards as described in the Annexure appended to the notification with immediate effect.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (42-a) of section 2 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 1965 (Act No. 6 of 1965), read with rule 2 of the Andhra Pradesh Transitional Area and Smaller Urban Areas (Fixation of Criteria) Rules, 2013 issued in G.O.Ms.No.16, MA&UD (Elec.I) Department, dated the 16.01.2013, the Governor of Telangana hereby specifies the areas covered under the erstwhile Meerpet Grampanchayat of Rangareddy District as Meerpet Smaller Urban Area (Muncipality) with immediate effect and thus Meerpet Municipality is deemed to have been constituted under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 1965.

Engineer-in-Chief, Panchayat Raj, Hyderabad in his letters 2nd read above, Government after careful examination of the proposal, hereby accord Post facto Extension of Agreement Time up to 31.12.2017 (716 days) without imposing penalty in respect of work “Providing BT on Road from Sahebnagar reservoir to Balapur X roads via Prashanthi Hills, Leninnagar, RCI Road in Meerpet Village of Saroornagar Mandal” in Ranga Reddy District sanctioned under deposit grant in the reference 1st read above, as the work was stopped by the HMWSSB.

National Council for Teacher Education, Bangalore granted recognition to JEC College of Education (B.Ed), Almasguda Village, Meerpet, Saroornagar (M), Hyderabad, for conducting B.Ed Course of one-year duration, with an annual intake of 100 students from the academic session 2014-15

The management of the instant college is directed to fulfil all the norms and standards stipulated, as amended from time to time by the National Council for Teacher Education or else.

Stringent action will be initiated against the college including withdrawal of recognition, if it is found, at a later date, that the norms and standards stipulated by the National Council for Teacher Education are not fulfilled or otherwise violated.
