(Agri.II) Department, dt.15-9-1989] and the General Rules and other Rules shall also be applicable wherever necessary.  The 40% are Open to Locals and Non-Locals and 60% of posts are reserved for local candidates of the respective zones under Six Point Formula under the provisions of Letter No.10115/Horti/A2/2013, Agri. & Coop. Department, dt.23-9-2013 in the general recruitment.

As per Rule-5 of Special Rules for A.P. Horticulture Services [G.O.Ms.No.776, Food & Agri. (Agri.II) Dept., dt.15-9-1989], a candidate must possess B.Sc. Degree in Horticulture or M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Horticulture of a recognized university in the State or any other university/ institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission and as per G.O.Ms.No.355, Food & Agri. (Agri.II) Dept., dt.7-3-1992 first preference shall be given to the candidates who possessed B.Sc. (Horticulture) and in case of non-availability of B.Sc. (Horticulture) candidates, preference will be given to those who possessed M.Sc. (Agri.) Horticulture.   Further, Government have given provision in G.O.Ms.No.12, Agri. & Coop. (Horti.) Dept., dt.11-1-1996 to consider B.Sc.(Ag.) qualification in respect of S.C. & S.T. candidates when B.Sc. (Horticulture) candidates are not available among S.C. & S.T. only.  For this purpose candidates with (4) years B.Sc. (Horticulture)/ B.Sc. (Agriculture) alone (only for S.Cs. & S.Ts.) are considered.

As per G.O.Ms.No.518, General Administration (Services-A) Department, dt.29-6-2013 candidates with maximum age limit of (36) years as on 01-7-2013 are eligible to apply to the posts notified.  The age relaxation in respect of SC, ST, BC and PH candidates shall be allowed as per the provisions under Rule-12 of A.P. State & Subordinate Service Rules and the limitation thereon as per rules in force for the recruitment.

There will be no test or interview for selection of the candidates.  The Selection Committee will select the candidates as per merit, based on the aggregate marks computed for 100 marks, i.e., up to a maximum of 75 for the OGPA/ Traditional % of marks secured by them in their B.Sc. (Horti.) or M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture or B.Sc. (Ag.) [in case of non-availability of B.Sc.(Horti.) candidates among S.C. & S.T. only], plus marks for seniority from the date of passing of the said qualification @ One Mark per year from the year of passing (for completed year), subject to maximum of 10 Marks, plus subject to maximum of 15 marks i.e., @ 4 Marks per year for satisfactory service rendered as Horticultural Officer/ Horticultural Consultant on outsourcing / contract basis in the Horticulture Department.  The Service Certificate issued by the District Deputy Director of Horticulture/ Asst. Director of Horticulture of the concerned district will only be considered and the certificates issued by any other will not be considered.  The service rendered on contract basis in the Horticulture Department in different spells shall be computed for arriving at the total period of experience in years and thereafter any part of the year shall be treated as nil.

The candidates are advised to send their bio-data in the format appended along with supporting certified copies of two sets along with two recent passport size photos for Age/ Qualification along with Memo of Marks/ Community/           Nativity/ Experience etc.  The bio-data format is available at                                      website: aphorticulture.nic.in

The last date for receipt of application in the prescribed proforma is          19-10-2013 by 5:00 PM to the O/o Commissioner of Horticulture, Hyderabad (A.P.).  Applications received after 5:00 PM of due date either by post or by manual and incomplete information/ non-enclosing of required copies of certificates/ enclosing of illegible copies of certificates, if any, such applications will be rejected summarily and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.  Furnishing copies of certificates at a later date shall not be entertained and they shall not have any claim on such cases.  All the enclosures should be stitched with thread or neatly tagged to the Bio-Data Form.

The selected candidates on appointment as Horticulture Officers have to pass Agricultural Department Test, Accounts Test for Executive Officers and 2nd Class Language Test in Telugu within two years from the date of appointment as per A.P. Horticulture Service & General Rules.

The Commissioner of Horticulture, A.P., Hyderabad reserves the right to modify to increase or reduce or cancel any part or all the vacancies at any time, which are notified, without any notice.
