Introduction to Telangana State Judicial Service Civil Judge Recruitment
The Telangana State Judicial Service invites applications for the recruitment of Civil Judges (Junior Division) through both direct recruitment and recruitment by transfer. Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Civil Judge (Junior Division) post:
Direct Recruitment
- Possession of a Law Degree from a recognized university
- Enrollment as an Advocate with the Bar Council
- Minimum practice experience of 3 years
- Age between 23 and 35 years for open category, and up to 40 years for reserved categories
- Good character and proficiency in Telugu language
Recruitment by Transfer
- Law Degree from a recognized university
- Enrollment as an Advocate
- Age below 48 years
- Good character and proficiency in Telugu language

Minimum Marks to be secured in the Written Examination to qualify for Viva-Voce:
- Candidates securing not less than 60% marks in Papers I and II each in the written examination shall be eligible for viva voce carrying 30 marks.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Persons with Disability securing not less than 50% marks in Papers I and II each in the written examination shall be eligible for the viva voce carrying 30 marks.
- Candidates qualified and eligible will be called for viva voce in the ratio of 1:3 of the available vacancies to the successful candidates.
- If more than one candidate secures identical cutoff marks, all such candidates shall be called upon to appear for Viva Voce.
MERIT LIST:
- After the result of the written examination is announced, successful candidates in the ratio of 1:3 of the available vacancies shall be called for.
