In a commendable move to enhance public welfare, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has launched yet another innovative program in the state. This time, he has decided to fortify the education system by providing nutritious meals to all students in government schools across the state, as part of the “Telangana Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme 2023.” Starting from October 24th, this state-wide initiative is set to benefit students in all grades, ensuring that they receive quality nutrition alongside their education. By doing so, the government aims to not only boost academic performance but also improve the overall well-being of students and their families.

The Government of Telangana gives top most priority to the welfare of women and children in the State. Towards their welfare and well-being, several schemes have been launched since the inception of the Telangana State which have resulted in transformational change in the social and health indicators.

To address the nutritional status of school-going children which has been a concern and also to alleviate the burden of working mothers Government with an objective of increasing nutritional status and thereby the academic performance of children hereby decides to provide free breakfast under the ‘Telangana Chief Minister Breakfast Scheme 2023″ to school children studying from 1st to 10th standard in Government, Local bodies schools etc., on all school working days in the Telangana State.

The Director of School Education is requested to furnish a detailed action plan for the implementation of the scheme so as to launch the scheme on Vijaya Dashami i.e., 24. October, 2023.
