Grant of Prospecting License for Barytes over 4.80 Hectares


Sri Meenavathu Hanumanthu has applied for grant of Prospecting License for Barytes over an extent of  4.80 Hectares in Compartment No.434 of Kollapur Reserve Forest, Kollapur Range, Atchampet Division, Mahabubnagar District for a period of 3 years. The said application was received by the Assistant Director of Mines and Geology, Kurnool on 27.12.2010.

The Director of Mines and Geology has submitted proposals to the Government stating that, the applied area was jointly surveyed and inspected  by the Technical staff of O/o the ADM&G, Mahabubnagar, Revenue and Forest officials on 11.01.2011. The Forest officials verified the applied area and confirmed that the area falling  in Compartment No.434 of Kollapur Reserve Forest, Kollapur Range, Atchampet Division of Mahabubnagar district. The Tahasildar, Kollapur Mandal vide his letter, dated 13.05.2011 has confirmed that, the applied is falling under Reserve Forest  area of Kollapur  block.  The  applicant  has  submitted  the surveyed sketch with GPS values. The Director of Mines & Geology has therefore requested the Government to consider the Prospecting License application of Sri Meenavathu Hanumanthu for Barytes over an extent of 4.80 Hectares in Compartment No.434 of Kollapur Reserve Forest, Kollapur Range, Atchampet Division, Mahabubnagar District for a period of 3 years.

Government after examination of the proposal of the Director of Mines & Geology, hereby grant the Prospecting License in favour of Sri Meenavathu Hanumanthu for Barytes over an extent of  4.80 Hectares in Compartment No.434 of Kollapur Reserve Forest, Kollapur Range, Atchampet Division, Mahabubnagar District for a period of 3 years, subject to obtaining permission from the Forest Department and  subject to the conditions in form-F prescribed under the Mineral Concession Rules, 1960 and to the additional conditions specified in the Appendix to this order.

The rate of Prospecting  fee will be Rs.5/- (Rupees five only) per hectare of the land covered by the license for each year or portion of a year.

The grantee should deposit as security a sum of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees two thousand and five hundred only) per every square kilometer or  part thereof as prescribed in Rule 20 of M.C. Rules, 1960 before the license deed is actually executed.

The terms and conditions referred to in paras 4 & 5 of this order are subject to such further modifications, additions and alterations as may be ordered before the license deed is executed.

The grantee should execute the license deed, within the time limit specified in Rule 15 of M.C. Rules, 1960.

The Director of Mines and Geology is requested to take necessary further  action  for  the  execution  of  the  Prospecting  License  deed  after satisfying himself that the grantee fulfils all the required provisions of the amended Act and Rules.  As soon as the P.L deed is executed, the date of such execution should be reported to the Government.

The grant is liable to cancellation, should it be found that it was grossly inequitable or was made under a mistake of fact or owing to misrepresentation or fraud or in excess of authority and also subject to not affecting existing structures of monumental value in the area.
