Investigation by CID on Housing Programme in Telangana State from 2004-14

In the reference From the MDAPSHCL, Hyderabad (TG)Lr.No.7205/Mgr(Vig)/2014 Dt: 25.07.12014, the Managing Director, A.P. State Housing Corporation Limited (TG), Hyderabad, has requested the Government to issue necessary instructions on certain irregularities were noticed by the Government in respect of Housing Programme during the year 2008. In the ref G.O.Rt No. 266, Housing (RH-I) Department, Dt. 19.04.2009, the Government have ordered vide G.O.Rt No. 266, Housing (RH-I) Department, Dt. 19.04.2009 to constitute teams to conduct integrated Door to Door survey at Village Level to verify the eligibility of the beneficiaries of Housing / White Ration cards / Pensions. This survey was conducted in all the villages in the entire state. As per the outcome of the survey, the entire ineligible beneficiaries list i.e., not stated category, in-progress category (for which payments were made) were blocked and disabled in online. At present the Government wants an objective study based on scientific lines, so as to decide the future course of action and to give corruption free governance and transparent delivery of services in Housing Programme.

2. In view of several allegations of misuse of the Weaker Section Housing Programme by certain unscrupulous persons and misuse of funds came to the notice of the Government.

3. After careful observation, Government hereby ordered for detailed investigation by the Crime Investigation Department on the Weaker Section Housing Programme taken up during the years 2004 to 2014 and it shall take further required follow-up action including prosecution of culprits and recommend departmental action against erring officials.
