Enhancement of Ex-gratia amount to Telangana Police, Home Guards and Civilians Personnel

After KCR Police Commemoration Day 2015 speech. Now, Orders were issued from time to time sanctioning ex gratia to the next of kin of Civilians/Police Personnel who died in the extremist/terrorist violence.  In the G.O., Government of AP enhanced ex gratia to the Civilians/Police Officials/Non Officials who died/permanently incapacitated/ were grievous hurt in the extremist/terrorist violence

Government have enhanced compensation/ex gratia amount to Police Constables from Rs.25.00 lakhs to Rs.40 lakhs who died in extremist/terrorist violence with effect from 02-06-2014.

Government has decided to enhance the existing rates of exgratia relief in respect of Police Personnel/Civilians and considered further enhancement of ex-gratia relief to the next of kin of Police Personnel/Civilians who were killed/permanently incapacitated/injured in extremist/terrorist violence duly including Home Guards to the above categories.

Accordingly, Government hereby enhance the existing ex gratia relief as mentioned:

The expenditure shall be debited to “2235, Social Security and Welfare – (60) other Social Security and Welfare Programmes – MH.200 other Programmes – SH (11). Other exgratia relief – 310. Grants-in-aid-312.Other grants-in-aid” and shall be met from the provision made in Budget Estimates.

These orders shall come into force with effect from 02-06-2014. All the Collectors and District Magistrates are hereby authorized to sanction relief ex gratia to the above mentioned cases and ensure that the payment is credited to the bank account of the victim/beneficiary concerned.  They shall intimate to Government in General Administration (SC.D) Department as to the particulars of expenditure incurred in this regard every quarter.

This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their U.O.No.8985/382/EBS.I/A1/2015, dated:21 -08-2015.
