Andhra Pradesh High Power Committee to suggest State Capital, Govt. has constituted an Expert Committee to take a quick review of the developmental plans initiated so far and suggest comprehensive development strategy for all-round development of the entire State including Capital.
Accordingly, the Expert Committee has submitted its Report on Comprehensive Development Strategy for the entire State including Capital of A.P. .
Govt. after careful examination and deliberations have decided to constitute a “High Power Committee” to examine the recommendations of the Expert Committee constituted vide GO Rt.No: 585, MA & UD Dept., dt. 13.9.2019 on the concept of decentralised development and work out a strategy on the way forward keeping in view the various provisions of the Reorganization Act.
Accordingly, the Govt., hereby constitutes a High Power Committee with the following members :-

The High Power Committee may seek the advice of the Advocate General in regard to further course of action for compliance in furtherance of the above.
The High Power Committee will also take into account the recommendations of Boston Consultancy Group while finalizing the strategy and way forward.
The Committee shall give its recommendations within 3 weeks.
Constitution of a “High Power Committee” to examine the recommendations of the Expert Committee constituted vide GO Rt.No: 585, MA & UD Dept., dt. 13.9.2019 on the concept of decentralised development and work out a strategy on the way forward, keeping in view the various provisions of the Reorganization Act – Orders – Issued
Powers of the Committee are as follows:
i) The Committee can invite any departmental officer to participate in the discussions / meetings.
ii) The committee may analyse available data, conduct field studies and hold consultations with stake holders.
iii) The committee may invite public representations and also may obtain representations online.
iv) The Committee can call for information related to any project of the State Government or call for any document for the purpose of the study.
- The following are the terms and conditions regarding remuneration and logistics:
i) The Members/Convenor will have the status of Special Chief Secretary to the Government for the purpose of transport and accommodation.
ii) The Members/Convenor shall be provided with lump sum remuneration for the tenure.
General:
i) The Expert Committee shall be provided with necessary infrastructure, supporting staff, logistics support by the CRDA, Vijayawada at the request of the convener of the committee. The CRDA, Vijayawada shall also provide suitable office accommodation to the Committee in consultation with the convenor.
ii) Smt. Vijaya Krishnan, IAS, Addl. Commissioner, APCRDA will act the Nodal Officer for inter departmental coordination on behalf of the Government
iii) The District Collector concerned shall coordinate all arrangements for the Expert Committee, whenever they tour in the Districts.
iv) All the necessary expenditure will be incurred by CRDA from their available funds on reimbursement basis from the Government.
- The committee will submit its report within 6 weeks from the date its first meeting with Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development to be held in Consultation with the Committee.

- The Commissioner, APCRDA shall take necessary action in the matter.
