AP Engineering Fees for 2024-25 Announced
The Andhra Pradesh government has announced the engineering fees for the academic year 2024-25. The fees are set for 210 B.Tech colleges and two architecture colleges in the state. The highest fee for B.Tech courses is set between ₹1.03 lakh and ₹1.05 lakh, while the minimum fee is ₹40,000.
B.Tech and Architecture Fees Breakdown
The government has issued an order setting the fees for engineering and architecture colleges. For B.Tech courses, the highest fee is ₹1.05 lakh, and the lowest is ₹40,000. Out of the 210 B.Tech colleges, 114 colleges have fees set at ₹40,000, and eight colleges have fees above ₹1 lakh. The fees for the two architecture colleges are set at ₹35,000 each. This fee structure includes costs for tuition, affiliation, identity card, medical expenses, sports, cultural activities, and other student-related activities. Additional charges for hostel, transport, mess, registration, admission, and refundable fees are not included.
Government Regulations and Penalties
The government has strictly prohibited the collection of capitation fees and donations beyond the prescribed fees. Any institution found violating this regulation will face fines and legal action. The fees are subject to the judgment of pending writ petitions in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, as stated by the Higher Education Secretary, Saurabh Gaur.
