Water supply scheme from Godavari river to Badrachalam


The Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department have requested for sanction of Rs.1500.00 lakhs for completion of the protected water supply scheme from river Godavari for Badrachalam, Khammam District, under the scheme Special Development Fund, to fulfill the assurance of Chief Minister.

Government after examination hereby accord administrative sanction and release an amount of Rs.1500.00 Lakhs (Rupees Fifteen hundred lakhs only) under the scheme “Special Development Fund for Welfare and Developmental activities during the financial year 2013-14 for augmentation of protected water supply scheme from Godavari river to Badrachalam, Khammam District.

The Finance (Expr.GAD-II) Department has issued Budget Release Order for an amount of Rs.150.00 crores under plan from BE provision 2013-14 (Vote on account) towards 1st installment under the scheme of “Special Development Fund for Welfare and Developmental Activities”.

In pursuance of Budget Releasing Orders issued vide reference
3rd read above, the amount sanctioned in para (2) above may be debited to the following head of Account:

General 5475 – MH 800 GH.11 Normal State Plan- SH (08) Special
Development fund for Welfare and Development activities
– 530 Major works – 531 other expenditure. 1300.00

TSP 5475 – M.H.796, Tribal Areas Sub-Plan – G.H.11 Normal State Plan- SH (08) Special Development fund for Welfare and Development activities – 530 Major works – 531 other expenditure.

200.00 Total 1500.00
The District Collector, Khammam District is hereby authorized to draw and credit the above amount to the P.D Account “8448-Deposits to local funds- MH 120 – Other funds – SH (22) – Deposits of Decentralized Planning” and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 2 above for incurring expenditure for augmentation of protected water supply scheme from Godavari river to Badrachalam, Khammam District.

The District Collector, Khammam District shall release funds to the executive agencies after fulfilling the administrative and technical sanctions as per their respective departmental norms in vogue.

The sanctioned works shall be executed by the respective departments strictly following the departmental guidelines existing in vogue.

The District Collector, Khammam District shall monitor the progress of works on a regular basis and shall furnish utilization certificate after completion of the sanctioned works.

The Panchayat Raj (RWS) Department will look after Operation & Maintenance of the project after its completion.
