Regulations for special schemes taken up by AP Housing Board

Government of AP have notified the “Andhra Pradesh Housing Board (Self Financing Housing Scheme) Regulation, 1975” and the “Andhra Pradesh Housing Board ( Allotment , Management and sale of HIG, MIG, LIG and EWS) Regulations,1997” respectively.

The Vice Chairman and Housing Commissioner, A.P. Housing Board has reported that the A.P. Housing Board has been created with a mandate of providing houses at affordable prices to various income categories of people. Accordingly, since beginning the Housing Board has taken up various projects at various places to cater to the housing requirements of all the needy people. He has informed that so far 70889 number of houses have been constructed under the categories shown below:











The A.P. Housing Board has now proposed to take up Special Housing Scheme for the Class-IV employees, namely, Drivers, Attenders & other Last Grade employees, organized Industrial workers, building construction workers and shops & establishment workers, under Hire Purchase scheme as “Special Schemes”, wherever APHB lands are available, across the State. He has requested the Government to accord permission for adopting the guidelines as envisaged in G.O.Ms.No.63, Housing (HB2), dated 6th August 1997 to such Special Schemes.

Government after careful examination of the above proposal, in detail, in exercise of the powers conferred under Sections 21 and 71 of the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board Act, 1956 (Act XLVI of 1956) hereby accord permission to the A.P. Housing Board to take up Special Schemes for specific groups by adopting the guidelines as envisaged in the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board (Self Finance Housing Scheme) Regulations, 1975.

While evolving Special Schemes for any specific group of people, A.P. Housing Board shall prepare a detailed project report duly mentioning the source of finance and other details.

The Vice Chairman and Housing Commissioner, A. P. Housing Board is permitted to launch as many affordable housing Schemes and projects as possible in the lands available with the Housing Board under Special Schemes.
