Recovery of outstanding Water Consumption charges


In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Andhra Pradesh Rent and Revenue Sales Act, 1839 the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby invests the powers of Tahsildar to the General Managers (Engineering)
Operation & Maintenance Divisions of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board for recovery of arrears due to the said Board.

Managing Director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board, Hyderabad has requested for
issue of Notification by the Government, delegating the powers to the General Managers (Engineering) Operation & Maintenance Divisions of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board, under section 7 of the Andhra Pradesh Rent and Revenue Sales Act, 1839 for sale of the attached property to
recover the arrears due to the Board.

The Government after examination of the matter have decided to invest the powers of Tahsildar under the provisions of section 7 of the Andhra Pradesh Rent and Revenue Sales Act, 1839 to the General Managers (Engineering) Operation & Maintenance Divisions of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

Government after careful examination of the matter have decided to invest the powers of Tahsildars under section 6 of the Andhra Pradesh Rent and Revenue Sales Act, 1839 to the General Managers (Engineering), Operation & Maintenance Divisions of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board and authorize their subordinate officers i.e., the Deputy General Managers (Engineering) Operation & Maintenance Sub Divisions of the Board for issue of Notice in Form-1 and attachment of movable and immovable properties in Form-2, subject to condition that final sale must be conducted by the General Managers (Engineering), Operation & Maintenance Divisions of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board, as it is in the case of Tahsildars authorizing Revenue Inspectors in terms of section 6 of the Andhra Pradesh Rent and Revenue Sales Act, 1839.

The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medak districts are, therefore, requested to order delegation of the powers of Tahsildar under section 6 of the Andhra Pradesh Rent and Revenue Sales Act, 1839 to the General Managers (Engineering) Operation & Maintenance Divisions of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board and authorize their subordinate officers i.e., the Deputy, General Managers (Engineering) Operation & Maintenance Sub Divisions of the Board for issue of Notice in Form-1 and
attachment of movable and immovable properties in Form-2, Subject to condition that final sale must be conducted by the General Managers (Engineering), Operation & Maintenance Divisions of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board, as it is in the case of Tahsildars authorizing Revenue Inspectors in terms of Section 6 of the Andhra Pradesh Rent and Revenue Sales Act, 1839.
