Re-designation of Assistant Commissioners of Police in Traffic and Crime Wings


Director General of Police, A.P. Hyderabad, has furnished detailed proposals for re-designation of Two (02) posts of Assistant Commissioners of Police, one each in Traffic and Crime wings respectively under the Cyberabad Commissionerate on administrative grounds.

2. The Director General of Police, A.P. Hyderabad, has stated that, the Cyberabad Commissionerate is functioning with twelve (12) Traffic Police Stations and due to the increasing Vehicular traffic, Mushrooming of new colonies, Townships, Apartments, Shopping Complexes, have increased the traffic problems manifold. The jurisdiction of the existing (12) Traffic Police Stations is very extensive and present strength of traffic wing is not sufficient for the growing traffic. The entire Traffic wing is being supervised by the (03) Assistant Commissioners of Police who are unable to supervise the traffic wing effectively as the traffic jurisdiction of (12) traffic Police Stations is very extensive.

3. The Director General of Police, A.P. Hyderabad, has, further stated that, in order to equalize the work load, it is proposed to redistribute and reorganize the number of supervisory Officers ie., Assistant Commissioners of
Police, from three (03) to Four (04) by creating one more traffic division in the Traffic wing, as follows:

4. The Director General of Police, A.P. Hyd., has also stated that, apart from the above, the entire work relating to the Criminal Cases under the CCS, is presently being supervised by one Assistant Commissioner of Police,
who is unable to cope up with the heavy work load, and as such, there is an urgent requirement of (02) Assistant Commissioners of Police to attend to the work relating to the CCS, Cyberabad.

5. Therefore the Director General of Police. A.P. Hyderabad, has now proposed & requested, to re-designate the Assistant Commissioners of Police as mentioned below:-

(a) Out of (04) ACPs of (AR) one post of Assistant. Commissioner of Police, Head Quarters, is proposed to be re-designated as ACP Traffic for the proposed new traffic division.

(b) One Assistant Commissioner of Police (CTC) Civil, who is looking after the Cyberabad Training Centre is proposed to be re-designated as Assistant Commissioner of Police (CCS) who will also look after the Cyberabad Training Centre in addition to his original works.

6. In view of the circumstances stated by the Director General of Police, AP. Hyderabad, and after careful consideration of the matter, Government hereby reallocate the posts within the sanctioned strength of Assistant
Commissioners of Police in Cyberabad Commissionerate, subject to condition, that no financial implications are involved towards recurring and nonrecurring expenditure, as follows:

(a) one post of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Head quarters, out of the (04) Assistant Commissioner of Police of (AR), is re-designated as Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) for the proposed new Traffic division, and

(b) one post of Assistant Commissioner of Police (CTC) (Civil), in-charge of Cyberabad Training Centre is re-designated as Assistant Commissioner of Police (CCS) who will also look after the CTC in addition to his original works.

7. The Director General of Police, A.P. Hyderabad is requested to take further necessary action accordingly in the matter.

8. He is also requested to furnish the required draft notifications accordingly, for further orders in the matter, immediately.

9. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (SMPC-II) Dept., vide U.O.No. 0855/004/A2/SMPC.II/14, dt. 28.01.2014.
