Government of Andhra Pradesh have accorded permission for engaging (300) lecturers for IIITs in the (3) residential campuses of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies on contract basis @ Rs.3.60 lakhs per annum per person as remuneration & for three years of tenure. The Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies was advised not to indicate the scale of pay in appointment orders and contract agreement to avoid legal complications in future. The Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies shall enter into a fresh agreement for each year.
The Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies has also stated that recently they have carried out a vigorous selection process that involves (i) open advertisement through news papers, (ii) rolling advertisement through web site, (iii) one tier campus selections at the IITs and and IISc, (iv) Two-tier campus selections at the local universities and the local NITs, and served conditional appointment letters to around 250 selected candidates. These selected faculty members are expected to join within June/July 2013 and are very essential to run the education system of RGUKT. The situation is that even after sanction of the requested 200 positions and even if the selected members join in full numbers, RGKT would still be running at less than half of the required faculty strength.
Government after careful examination of the entire matter have decided to engage 200 lecturer on contractual basis for one academic year or till such time all permanent position are filled on regular basis with the terms and conditions ordered in the G.O. 1st read above.
Accordingly, the Government hereby accord permission to Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies for engaging additional 200 Lecturer on contractual basis with the terms and conditions ordered in the G.O, for a period of one year or till such time all permanent position are filled on regular basis, whichever is earlier.
The Vice-Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies shall take necessary action in the matter, accordingly.
