The Government of India have enacted Andhra Pradeshreorganisation Act 2014 for re-organising the existing State of Andhra Pradesh into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States with effect from 02.06.2014.
The Director of Treasuries and Accounts, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad in the reference second read above stated that at present the P.D accounts related to Heads of Departments of Andhra PradeshState are maintained at District Treasury Office Hyderabad (Urban). The remittances collected through cyber treasury are accounted for at Rangareddy District Treasury. After reorganisation of the Andhra PradeshState, the treasury transactions of theHeads of Departments of Telangana will be dealt with within Rangareddy and Hyderabad (Urban) Treasuries. Hence, the Director of Treasuries and Accounts, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad has proposed to set up a new Headquarters Treasury with the status of the District Treasury in the premises of the Andhra Pradesh Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts with the following functions.
a. Handling and Accounting of Government Receipts collected throughphysical mode and through Cyber Treasury.
b. Maintenance of P.D accounts of the Heads of Departmentsand Corporations of residuary Andhra Pradesh functioning from Hyderabad.
c. Payments of Pensions including first payments to the pensioners ofresiduary Andhra Pradesh State retiring from Heads of Departments and Secretariat of Andhra Pradesh State after theappointed day.
d. Preparing and rendering of monthly accounts to the Principal AccountantGeneral,watching settlement of interstate suspense related issues andCyber Treasury transactions.
3. The Gowliguda branch of State Bank of Indiashall conduct the transactions of the new treasury for residuary Andhra Pradesh State. No new posts are permitted and no strong room functions will be conducted bythe New Andhra Pradesh Headquarters Treasury. The functioning of this Andhra Pradesh Headquarters Treasury now sanctioned at Hyderabad shall cease once the State capitalis shiftedtoa identifiedlocation withinthe territory of residuary Andhra Pradesh or as and when the Andhra Pradesh Director of Treasuries and Accounts, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad is shifted to a new place in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
Government after careful consideration of the matter, have decided to opena new Andhra Pradesh Headquarters Treasurywith the status of a the District Treasury in the premises of the Directorate ofTreasuries and Accounts, Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad with effect from 02-06-2014 to look after the transactions of Residuary State of Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad as enumerated at Para 2 above by adjusting the required staff from within the cadre strength of the Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts of Residuary Andhra Pradesh without extra cost.
The following notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette accordingly.
Government after careful consideration of the matter, have decided to open a new Andhra Pradesh Headquarters Treasuryat Hyderabad, w.e.f. 02.06.2014, in the premises of the Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts, Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabadby adjusting the required staff from within the cadre strength of the Directorate of Treasuries and Accounts of Residuary Andhra Pradesh without extra cost.
The Director of Treasuries and Accounts, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take further necessary action in the matter accordingly.
