Prosecution Under Allegation of acquisition assets disproportionate Cases


The Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Nellore, in his Judgment dated 17.9.2012 in CC No.12/2005 found the Accused Officer Sri B. Vijendra Rao, Assistant Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Guntur guilty of the offences under Section 13 (1)(e) read with 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and convicted him under section 248 (2) of Criminal Procedure Code and also sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 3 (three) years and to pay a fine of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only) and in default to undergo simple imprisonment for 4 (four) months, under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 and also ordered to forfeiture of assets to an extent of Rs.6,66,542/-.

Government of Andhra Pradesh have examined the matter carefully keeping in view the rule 8 (2) of the A.P. Revised Pension Rules, 1980 read with rule 9 of the said rules, and decided to impose a punishment of withholding of entire pension and gratuity permanently on Sri B. Vijendra Rao, former Assistant Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Guntur District (Retired), for the conduct which has led to his conviction in CC.No.12/2005, dated 17.09.2012.

Accordingly, Government hereby impose the punishment of withholding of 100% pension and entire gratuity permanently on Sri B. Vijendra Rao, Assistant Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Retired) under rule 8 (2) read with rule 9 (1) of the Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980 for the conduct which has led to his conviction in CC.No.12/2005, dt:17.09.2012.

The Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter.
