Expansion of the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Welfare Fund


Government in the G.O.Ms.No.1, G.A. (I&PR) Department, dated 01-01-1986 have issued Rules governing the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Welfare Fund for welfare of the working Journalists.

The Commissioner, Information & Public Relations, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad in his letter From the Commissioner, I&PR., A.P., Hyderabad, Lr.No.10183/MR/ C1/2014, dated 28.05.2015., has requested the Government to consider the request of various Journalists Associations / Unions for inclusion of their representation in the  Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Welfare Fund.

Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby decided to include the certain Journalists Associations / Unions representation in the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Welfare Fund to the existing, duly amending the Rule 15 of Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Welfare Fund Rules, 1986 and the new composition of the Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Welfare Fund State Committee is as follows:

 

a) The Ministry-in-Charge of Information and Public Relations or his nominee. Chairman.
b) The Secretary to Government, G.A. (I&PR) Department, A.P. Secretariat. Vice-Chairman
c) One representative of the Home Department of the rank of Deputy Secretary / Joint Secretary to Government. Member
d) One representative of the A.P. Union of Working Journalists Member
e) Two Working Journalists other than from the Union of working Journalists, as nominated by Government. Member
f) One representative of the A.P. Working Journalists Federation Member
g) One representative of the Journalists Association of A.P. Member
h) One representative of the Andhra Journalists Association, New Delhi. Member
i) One representative of the management of big/medium newspapers/periodicals as nominated by I.E.N.S. Member
 
j) One representative of the management of Small newspapers as nominated by Government. Member
k) The Joint Secretary to Government,

Finance Department, A.P. Secretariat.

Member
l) The Commissioner of Labour, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Member
m) The Director, Information and Public Relations Department, A.P., Hyderabad. Member
n) Accounts Officer, O/o. the Commissioner, Information and Public Relations, A.P., Hyderabad. Treasurer

  1. The Commissioner, Information & Public Relations, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad shall take necessary action accordingly.
