Establishment of Regular Additional District and Sessions Judges Courts


Government of AP have issued orders to create additional 10% posts of the existing regular cadre in the State Judiciary (84) Courts i.e. Additional District and Sessions Judge’s Courts (18), Senior Civil Judge’s Courts (18), Principal Junior Civil Judges Courts (24) and Junior Civil Judge’s Courts (24) and continuation of 1/3rd of the existing Fast Track Courts (36) out of 108 Courts, on permanent basis in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the Transferred Case (Civil) No.22 of 2001 in Brij Mohan Lal Vs. Union of India.

Government have also issued orders for sanctioning of staff and expenditure to the above said Courts with Stations.

The Registrar (Vigilance), High Court of Andhra Pradesh, has requested the Government to approve the draft Notifications (7) to be issued by the Government in respect of each Court under sub-section (1) of section 21 of Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972).

The Government after Examination of the matter, have decided to approve the (7) Draft Notifications to the following stations, and to publish the same in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette Extraordinary.

5. Accordingly, the following Notifications will be published in an Extraordinary Issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

NOTIFICATION-I

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972), the Government of Andhra Pradesh after consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby specifies that the District Court for the Chittoor District shall sit at ‘Chittoor’, ‘Madanapalle’, ‘Tirupathi’ and ‘Piler’.

NOTIFICATION-II

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972), the Government of Andhra Pradesh after consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby specifies that the District Court for the Krishna District shall sit at ‘Machilipatnam’, ‘Vijayawada’, ‘Gudivada’, ‘Nandigama’ and ‘Nuzvid’.

NOTIFICATION-III

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972), the Government of Andhra Pradesh after consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby specifies that the District Court for the Medak District shall sit at ‘Sangareddy’, ‘Siddipet’ and ‘Medak’.

NOTIFICATION-IV

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972), the Government of Andhra Pradesh after consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby specifies that the District Court for the Nellore District shall sit at ‘Nellore’ and ‘Gudur’.

NOTIFICATION-V

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972), the Government of Andhra Pradesh after consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby specifies that the District Court for the Srikakulam District shall sit at ‘Srikakulam’ and ‘Sompeta’.

NOTIFICATION-VI

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972), the Government of Andhra Pradesh after consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby specifies that the District Court for the Nalgonda District shall sit at ‘Nalgonda’, ‘Suryapet’, ‘Miryalaguda’ and ‘Bhongir’.

NOTIFICATION-VII

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 21 of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972 (Act 19 of 1972), the Government of Andhra Pradesh after consultation with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby specifies that the District Court for the Guntur District shall sit at ‘Guntur’, ‘Narsaraopet’ ‘Tenali’ and ‘Gurazala’.
