Creation of 47 posts to provide Secretarial Assistance


At the meeting of the Rules Committees of both the Houses of Legislature held on 25.06.2012, a decision was taken in the meeting to constitute twelve (12) Departmentally Related Standing Committees in the Legislature on the lines of Parliament of India commencing from the 2013 Budget Session. The report of the Rules Committees was laid on the Table of the Legislative Council and Assembly. The Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the A.P. Legislative Council and A.P. Legislative Assembly were also amended to that effect.

The work relating to the Sanding Committees is specialized in nature and staff is required to attend to the same promptly and in time and accordingly the Legislature Secretariat has made a proposal to create certain additional posts to provide Secretarial assistance to these Committees.

The Government, after careful consideration hereby accord sanction for creation of the following posts on permanent basis to provide secretarial assistance to the Departmentally Related Standing Committees, with immediate effect pending ratification by the Council of Ministers:
