A.P. Town Planning Service Rules 1992


In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Town Planning Subordinate   Service Rules,

1999 issued in G.O.Ms.No.445, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (B2) Department, Dated:26.07.1999 as published in Part-I of the Andhra Pradesh Gazettee issue No.331 dated:7th August, 1999 as subsequently amended :

 AMENDMENTS

In the said rules,

(1)     in rule 2 under Class-A,

(i) the existing category (1) shall be omitted.

(ii) Categories 2, 3, 4 and 5 shall be renumbered as categories – 1, 2, 3 and 4.

(2)     in rule 3, in the Table, under Class-A, (i) category-1 shall be omitted.

(ii) Categories 2, 3, 4 and 5 shall be renumbered as categories – 1, 2, 3 and 4.

(3)   in the Annexure to Rule 5 in the Table, under Class-A,

(i) the existing category – 1 and qualifications shall be omitted.

(ii) category-2, 3, 4 and 5 shall be renumbered as Categories – 1, 2, 3 and 4.

In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Town Planning Service Rules, 1992 issued in G.O.Ms.No.197,  Municipal  Administration  and  Urban  Development  (B2) Department,  Dated:25.03.1992  as  published  in  Part-I  of  the  Andhra  Pradesh

Gazettee issue No.16 dated:16th  April, 1992 as subsequently amended applicable to   all Urban Local Bodies in the State including Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

AMENDMENTS

 In the said rules,

(1)     in rule 2,

(i) after category – 5 Assistant Director, the following shall be inserted, namely:

“CATEGORY – 6 Town Planning Assistant.

(ii) the existing categories of 6 and 7 i.e., Administrative Officer and

Statistical Officer respectively shall be renumbered as Category – 7 and

8 respectively.

(2)     in rule 3,

(i)      in the Table,

(a)     for category – 5 Assistant Director and entries against it in columns

(1) and (2), the following shall be substituted namely:-

5 Assistant Director ofTown  and  Country

Planning / Assistant

City Planner / Assistant Town Planner.

1(a) (i) By appointment by transfer from theCategory-6 Town Planning Assistant existing under A.P. Town Planning Service i.e., Town Planning Assistant.

(ii) by appointment by transfer from the category of Town Planning Officer existing under A.P. Municipal Town Planning Service

(b)  Should  have  completed  not  less  than three (3) years of service in the above category  of  TPA/TPO  in  case appointment by transfer.

2      By Direct Recruitment.

 

“Note:  The  vacancies  shall  be  filled  in  the order of rotation of 1:1:1 for TPA, TPO and Direct   Recruitment   in   every   unit   of   3 vacancies”

Provided that if no qualified persons in the category of TPA, the resultant vacancies shall

be filled by suitable person from the category of TPO. If no qualified persons in the category

of TPO are available, the resultant vacancies shall be filled up by suitable persons from the

category of TPA.

 

(b) after category – 5 the following shall be inserted, namely:

Town      Planning Assistant

(i) By    promotion    of    Architectural Draughtsman from the A.P. Town Planning Sub-ordinate Service. (ii) By direct recruitment.

(c) The existing category posts at Sl.Nos.6 and 7 shall be renumbered as

Sl.Nos.7 and 8 respectively.

(ii)    Under the table, the existing Note shall be omitted.

in rule 4

(i) After category 5 the following entries in column (1), (2) and (3) shall be inserted, namely:

6 Town     PlanningAssistant (i) By DirectRecruitment: Must posses a minimum qualificationof  B.Arch.  or  B.E.,/B.Tech.(Civil)  or

B.Planning/B.Tech(Planning)

 

Or

Passing an Associateship examination of Institute of Town Planners (India)

(ii) By promotion:

Must possess a degree in B.Arch. or

B.E./B.Tech(Civil)  or  B.  Planning  / B.Tech.(Planning), from a University

recognized by the University Grants

Commission.

Or

Must  possess  a  Diploma  in  D.C.E.  / L.C.E./L.A.A., awarded by the Andhra

Pradesh Board of Technical Education.

 

(ii)      The  existing  categories  Nos.6  and  7  shall  be  renumbered  as categories Nos.7 and 8.
