96 crores towards 4th quarter under the scheme of Constituency Development Programme


Government has sanctioned and released an amount of Rs.96.25 crores towards the first quarter amount for the year 2012-13 for taking up developmental works as suggested and recommended by the Hon’ble MLAs/MLCs and In-charge Ministers concerned in the G.O.3rd read above.

Government has also sanctioned and released a total amount of Rs.192.25 crores from the Budget Estimates for the year 2012-13 for settlement of pending bills of the works taken up during the period of 3rd and 4th quarters of the year 2011-12 in the G.O.4th read above.

The Finance Department have issued the Budget Release order (BRO) for an amount of Rs.96.25 crores towards 4th quarter out of total budget provision of Rs.385.00 Crores provided in the Budget Estimates for the year 2012-13 under the State Plan Scheme of ‘Constituency Development Programme‘ for taking up the developmental works by the MLAs/MLCs in their Constituencies concerned.

Accordingly the Government after careful examination hereby accord administrative sanction for the scheme of Constituency Development Programme for an amount of Rs.96.25 Crores (Rupees Ninety six crores and twenty five lakhs only) towards incurring expenditure during the period of the 2nd quarter for the year
2012-13 and not exceeding Rs.96.25 Crores for taking up the developmental works by the MLAs/MLCs and/or District In-charge Minister concerned as shown in Annexures-I & II.

Out of the amount sanctioned above, Rs.7315.00 lakhs shall be debited to
‘5475-MH-800-GH-11-NSP-SH (05)-CDP-530-531–Other Expenditure‘, Rs.1636.25 lakhs under the Head of Account ‘5475-MH-789-Special Component Plan for Scheduled Castes-GH-11-NSP-SH(05)-CDP-530-531–Other Expenditure’ and Rs.673.75 lakhs under the Head of Account ‘5475-MH-796-Tribal Areas sub Plan-GH-11-NSP-SH(05)-CDP-530-531–Other Expenditure’.

The amounts released for each district shall be credited to P.D. Account directly under the Head of Account “8448-Deposits to Local Funds–MH-120-Other Funds-SH (22)-Deposits of the Decentralized Planning”. The District Treasury Officers/Pay and Accounts Officers concerned are requested to adjust the amounts by crediting to the above Head of Account. The amounts released above are non- lapsable in nature.

All the District Collectors are advised to issue sanctions for the works under the CDP scheme for the remaining two quarters of the year 2012-13.

The Chief Planning Officers of the districts concerned are authorized to operate the above P.D. Account and they shall follow the accounting procedure ordered in the Govt.Memo.1st read above and shall be responsible for any deviation.

This order does not require the concurrence of the Finance Department.
