The Collector, Srikakulam has submitted a proposal for construction of comprehensive Collector Complex at Srikakulam stating that the existing Collectorate building has become old having served for more than 50 years and it is insufficient to accommodate the staff and offices. He has also stated that the said building is situated in an extent of 20.00 acres of Govt. land which is sufficient to locate various offices building to accommodate the Collectorate along with other important offices which will reduce the strain on the part of the public and enhance the efficiency of the District Administration. An extent of 60,000 sft., of office space is required for Collector office and 80,000/- sft., of plinth area is required for (27) District offices. As per the proforma estimates, the cost of the proposed construction of Comprehensive Collectorate Complex at Srikakulam is Rs.50-00 Crores.
The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, A.P. Hyderabad has requested to sanction of budget to a tune of Rs.50.00 Crores towards construction of new Comprehensive Collectorate Complex at Srikakulam District for the plinth area of 1.40 Sq.Ft.
Accordingly, in the GO, Government have accord administrative sanction for an estimated cost of Rs.50.00 Crores towards construction of Integrated Comprehensive Collectorate Complex at Srikakulam District.
In view of the change of the plinth area from 1,40,000 Sq.Ft. to
2,57,991Sq.Ft. the Transport Roads &Buildings Department have sent the proposal for issue of revised administrative sanction for an amount of Rs.116.50 crores which includes Consultant’s fee etc, for construction of Collectorate Complex at Srikakulam.
Government after examination hereby accord revised administrative sanction for an amount of Rs.116.50 crores (Rupees One Crore sixteen lakhs and fifty thousand only) towards construction of Integrated Collectorate Complex at Srikakulam.
The expenditure shall be debited to the head of account “4059 COL on Public Wroks -01 Office Buildings MH.051 Construction – GH.(11) Normal State Plan SH (16) Construction of Buildings for Collectorate 530- Major Works- 531- Other Expenditure”. Necessary orders for releasing the budget will be issued separately by the Finance (Expr.Rev.) Department based on the work.
The Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Hyderabad shall take further necessary action in the matter.
This order issues with concurrence of Finance Department has for their orders vide U.O.No.23810/947/ Exp.Rev.II-A/2013, Dated.07-10-2013.
