Are you frustrated applying 15 day RTI (Right to Information) online certificate course. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India (GoI) association with the Centre for Good Governance 15-day course more made easy, interesting and practical, now the course has been bifurcated into two versions, namely 7 Day Online Course (English) and 15-Day Online Certificate Course.
There is no selection list for this course till now. You have to login to website (updated version) of RTIOCC and Register to start a course. After you enter the website, read carefully all the instructions related to the Course available in the Help menu. The course is valid from the day of your login for 7 days only. For example, if you log in on 01.08.2012 you can access the course upto 2359 hrs. of 07.08.2012. The course is available for 7-days, 24×7.
There will be 7 topics Introduction, Preamble and Defination, Public Authority, Completed, Exemptions, Process, Appeal, Complaint. Each Chapter has four quiz questions. You have to score atleast 3/4 in a Chapter to move to the next Chapter. Chapter – 1 has been enabled by default. Subsequent Chapters will get enabled, automatically, as you proceed after meeting the specified scoring requirements per Chapter
Anyway you are required to file an RTI application for inspection of records in any Public Authority dealing with public service delivery activities/programmes like Municipalities, Panchayats, Cooperation & Civil Supply Department, Drinking Water Supply Department and PWD.
On receiving the information sought by you from the public authority, you may visit www.rtiocc.cgg.gov.in after 6 weeks and click on15-Day Online Certificate Course on RTI button.
Note: It is highly recommended that a candidate should take the 15-Day Course to have practical and hands-on experience of applying the RTI Act . However, it may be noted that the 7-Day Online Course does not carry a certificate.
