Indiramma Bata is this the Right time ?
The Chief Minister of AP Kiran Kumar Reddy and his ministerial colleagues planning to visit 100 Assembly constituencies in 100 days. Is this the right time when power cuts in state, delay in holding Panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh due to be held between June and August 2011 (as per Part IX of Constitution).
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister taking a bold step to visit 100 Assembly constituencies from 14 July 2012. CM will stay in villages for three days in each district starting from East Godhavari and will have community lunch with villagers. They will have night halts at social welfare hostels. The ministers will also engage themselves in discussions with people and try to find out pressing issues. Besides, the ministers will also explain the flagship programmes of the government and try to rectify the problems in implementation. There will be chance of protest from Telangana activists.
There will be surprise inspection of schools, hostels, hospitals, fair price shops, banks, Anganwadi centres, nutrition-cum-day care centres (NDCC) and others. The flagship programmes to be reviewed during Indiramma Bata include 1 rupee rice, housing, MGNREGS, Indira Jala Prabha, zero-interest loans to farmers and SHG women, Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu, Indiramma pensions and State Milk Mission.
“We have to inform the public about the welfare programmes reaching them and to find out if there are any gaps in the implementation and give directions to the administration for rectification,” Mr. Reddy said in a meeting with the CMO officials on Thursday to finalise the schedule. Almost all ministers will be informed to present in the program but we have to wait and see how many Telangana Ministers will be able to attend this ‘BATA’
