ICC ODI Ranking – INDIA Team and Virat Kohli Rises
INDIA reaches second spot after wining 4-1 series with Sri Lanka.India are in second spot after Australia with sharing same points (119) in Reliance ICC ODI Ranking updated on Sunday (05,August 2012). Indian Team played 60 matches and got 7116 points where as Australia played 53 and scored 6287 points holding first first rank in ICC.
Indian batsmen Virat Kohli reaches 2 rank in ODI achieved a career-best ranking in the latest Reliance ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsmen which were released a day after the conclusion of India-Sri Lanka series.
Kohli’s team-mate and opener Gautam Gambhir has also broken into the top 10 which means India now has three batsmen inside the top 10 with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni sitting in fifth position. Gambhir scored 258 runs in the series and has been rewarded with a jump of seven places which has put him in 10th position.
