Reallocation of 33 Main Anganwadi Centers from ICDS Project,


The Commissioner, Women Development & Child Welfare Department, Hyderabad has informed that the Government of India has identified 177 Main AWCs and 8 Mini AWCs in identified CD Blocks having minority population of 25% and above as monitorable item under PM’s New 15 point Programme.  These AWCs were sanctioned by Government of Andhra Pradesh under 3rd phase expansion of ICDS and the Project Director, District Women & Child Development Agency, Sangareddy submitted a report stating that 33 Main AWCs are not in ICDS Zaheerabad, which is identified under minority CD Block by the GOI.

The Commissioner, Women Development & Child Welfare Department, Hyderabad has requested to issue the administrative sanction orders for effecting re-allocation of 33 Main Anganwadi Centers (AWCS) from Medak District to Hyderabad since the proposed areas by CDPO Hyd-I(U) is Minority areas. The CDPO, ICDS-I (U),Hyderabadare proposed for reallocation as follows:

The Commissioner, Women Development & Child Welfare Department, Hyderabadshall take necessary action in the matter.After careful examination of the proposal, Govt., hereby accord permission to the Commissioner, Women Development & Child Welfare Department ,Hyderabadfor transfer of 33 Main AWCs from the ICDS Project, Zaheerabad, Medak District to ICDS-I(U)Hyderabaddistrict in Minority areas as stated above.
