The Telangana Excise Grant of Licence of Selling by Bar and Conditions 2014-15 5


In exercise of the powers conferred by section 72 read with sections 17, 28 and 29 of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Andhra Pradesh Act 17 of 1968) the Governor of Telangana hereby makes the following amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Excise (Grant of License of Selling by Bar and Conditions of License) Rules, 2005 issued in G.O.Ms.No.997, Revenue (Excise-II) Department, dated the 24th May 2005 and published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.17 (Extraordinary) Rules supplement to Part-II dated 24.5.2005 and as amended from time to time:-

AMENDMENT

In the said rules, in rule 10 (A), for the words ‘six (6) times’, the words ‘five (5) times’ shall be substituted. 

 

ANNEXURE TO G.O.MS.NO.08, REVENUE (EXCISE-II) DEPARTMENT, DATED 28.6.2014

 

 

 

 

Privilege by Bar for the sale of Indian Made Foreign Liquor and Foreign Liquor to be consumed on the licensed premises.

 

a) Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees twenty five lakh only) per year in places where the population of the Municipality does not exceed 50,000.

 

b) Rs.35,00,000/- (Rupees thirty five lakh only) per year in places where the population of the Municipality / Municipal Corporation is above 50,000 but does not exceed 5,00,000.

 

c) Rs.38,00,000/- (Rupees thirty eight lakh only) per year in places where the population of the Municipality / Municipal Corporation is above 5,00,000 but does not exceed 20,00,000.

 

d) Rs.31,00,000/- (Rupees thirty one lakh only) per year in places where the population of the Municipality / Municipal Corporation is above 20,00,000.

 

Provided that the licence fee in respect of a Bar situated in a village/town, any part of which is within a belt of 5 km from the periphery of a Municipal Corporation measured in a straight line on the horizontal plane shall also be at the rate of licence fee of Bar situated within the limits of such Municipal Corporations.

 

Provided further that the licence fee in respect of a Bar situated in a village/town, any part of which is within a belt of 2 km from the periphery of Municipalities, measured in a straight line on the horizontal plane shall also be at the rate of licence fee of Bar situated within the limits of such Municipalities.

 

Provided also where the Bar falls within the belt area of a Municipal Corporation as well as a Municipality, the licence fee payable shall be the fee applicable to the Bar situated in the belt area of the Municipal Corporation.

 

Provided also that the licence fee in respect of 2B Bars situated in Tourism Centres notified by the Tourism Department of State Government or Central Government situated beyond 5 Km and 2 Km from the peripheral area of Municipal Corporation / Municipalities (measured in straight line on the horizontal plane) respectively shall be based on the population of the area in which the Tourism Bars is situated on par with other 2B Bars in the State.

 

The CPE, Telangana, Hyderabad is permitted to grant 2B Bar Licenses in the newly constituted Municipalities also.
