Ring Road to Gajwel Town


Engineer-in-Chief(R&B), State Roads & CRN, Hyderabad has submitted the report on the following works within the proposed Ring Road to Gajwel Town, since the works are assurances of Hon’ble Chief Minister during the review meeting in Gajwel Constituency.

I. Widening of Vergal-Gajwel road (Double lane to four lane from Km 11/0 to 15/4 in Medak District.

The Gajwel to Vergal Road from Km 0/0 to 15/4 is an important Road radiating from the Rajiv Rahadhari and connecting Gajwel Town and Mandal head quarter and passing through another Mandal Head Quarter i.e. Vergal town in Gajwel Constituency in Medak District. The famous Pilgrim center Vergal Vidhyadhari is located at Vergal mandal and also Agricultural market Yard is located at Gajwel town. Further, this road connects many important internal roads and villages all along the road. During festival and celebration season, the road becomes crowded.During the Honorable Chief Minister Meeting at Sangapur on Vargal-Gajwel road. Hon’ble Chief Minister has instructed to widen the existing double lane road to Four lane road upto the upcoming Educational HUB at Sangapur village. The Superintending Engineer (R&B), Medak has informed that, the traffic on this road is 976 CVPD and 5270 PCU’s and the CBR value is considered as 7% and the existing soils are red soils. The length proposed for widening is 4.40 Km’s.

II. Widening of Gajwel By-pass road and Gajwel – Venkatraopet road (Double lane to Four lane) from Km 0/0 to 1/8 and Km 0/0 to 2/0 in Medak District.

The Gajwel-Bypass road is an important Major District road and connects Gajwel-Venkatraopet road and three Assembly Constituencies such as Gajwel, Siddipet, Dubbaka and, also connects Market yards, Cotton industries, important State highway SNTGJ Road, and Mandal Head Quarters at Gajwel. Also connects Engineering colleges. Schools in Gajwel. There is no storm water drain along this road. As this road ia passing through main Town of Gajwel, and connects to Gajwel-Venkatraopet road and connects Siddipet Revenue Division. The traffic intensity on this road is increased in manyfold and the existing single lane B.T road does not cope the need to the increased traffic, many times the vehicular traffic is facing much inconvenience. As such, it is essential to widen the existing double lane carriage way to four lane carriage way to cater the needs of the increased traffic. Total length proposed for widening is 2 Km’s.

The Engineer-in-Chief(R&B) State Roads & CRN, Hyderabad has requested the Government to accord administrative sanction for the two works i.e 1. Widening of Vergal-Gajwel road (Double lane to four lane)from Km 11/0 to 15/4 in Medak District for an amount of Rs.1635.00 Lakhs 2.Widening of Gajwel Bypass road and Gajwel-Venkatraopet road(Double lane to Four lane) from Km.0/0 to 1/8 and Km.0/0 to 2/0 in Medak District for an amount of Rs.1700.00 lakhs, under PLAN (MDR) scheme.

After careful examination of the matter, Government hereby accord Administrative Sanction for the two works i.e (1) Widening of Vergal-Gajwel road (Double lane to four lane)from Km 11/0 to 15/4 in Medak District for an amount of Rs.1635.00 Lakhs and, (2) Widening of Gajwel Bypass road and Gajwel-Venkatraopet road(Double lane to Four lane) from Km.0/0 to 1/8 and Km.0/0 to 2/0 in Medak District for an amount of Rs.1700.00 lakhs, under PLAN (MDR) scheme, in relaxation to G.O.Ms.No.87, TR&B(R.II)Dept. Dt.03.09.2012 and Clause 2(a) of G.O.Ms.No.94, I&CAD Dept. Dt.01.07.2003.

The amount sanctioned in Para (3) above, shall be met from the Head of account -5054–Capital outlay on Roads and Bridges-04 -District and other Roads-MH800- Other Expenditure-GH 11-Normal State Plan- SH(07)–Major District Roads (works)-530–Major works-531–Other Expenditure.

The Engineer-in-Chief(R&B)State Roads & CRN, Hyderabad, shall take further action in the matter accordingly.

These orders issues with the concurrence of Finance (EBS-X) Department vide their U.O.No.11120/375/A1/EBS.X/15, Dt.11/09/2015.
