Wildlife Re-organization of Adilabad Circle by carving out Kawal Tiger Reserve Circle consisting of Core and Buffer area under the administrative control of Field Director Project Tiger (FDPT) – Approval accorded Revised Orders – Issued. ENVIRONMENT, FORESTS, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (FOR.I) DEPARTMENT
O R D E R :
Orders were issued notifying Kawal Tiger Reserve, with 892.23 Sq.Km. as Core area and 1123.212 Sq.Km. as buffer area. In accordance with recommendation of the Government of India as enunciated in the National Wildlife Action Plan that the entire Protected Area along with its buffer zone must be placed under the unified command, orders were issued posting Field Director Project Tiger for Kawal Tiger Reserve vide reference 2nd cited.
Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana, Hyderabad has submitted that it has become essential to reorganize the Adilabad Circle in whose jurisdiction the Kawal Tiger Reserve falls, in such a way that the entire area of 2015.44 Sq. Km. of Kawal Tiger Reserve consisting of Core and Buffer area, is brought under the administrative control of Field Director, Project Tiger (FDPT) Kawal and requested the Government to approve the reorganisation proposal of Kawal Tiger Reserve. In the reference 4th read above, Government have accorded approval for Re-organization of Kawal Tiger Reserve for management of Core Division Jannaram and Buffer Division Nirmal.
Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF),Telangana, Hyderabad has further informed that it would be necessary to re-organise the administrative units of Kawal Tiger Reserve Circle by retaining the existing staff and structure in the divisions of Nirmal and Jannaram as parts of the Kawal Tiger Reserve Circle and appending the already notified Buffer Area falling within Adilabad and Bellampalli Divisions into these two divisions, so that entire area of 2015.44 Sq. Km. of Kawal Tiger
Reserve consisting of Core and Buffer area along with the balance forest areas of existing Nirmal division, to be brought under the administrative control of the Field Director Project Tiger (FDPT) and requested the Government to approve the revised re-organisation proposal for carving out Kawal Tiger Reserve Circle.
After careful examination of the revised proposal of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Telangana State, Hyderabad, and in supersession of the orders issued in the G.O. 4th read above, Government hereby accord approval for re-organization of Adilabad Circle by carving out Kawal Tiger Reserve Circle as shown in Annexure – I, II & III appended to this order, in respect of Divisions, Ranges, Sections and Beats etc., for management by the Field Director, Kawal Tiger Reserve Circle through the re-designated Nirmal and Jannaram Tiger Reserve Divisions, by retaining their staff and administrative structure and by also by appending the Buffer Area of the already notified Kawal Tiger Reserve falling in Adilabad and Bellampalli divisions subject to the condition that there shall be no change in pay scales or service conditions of posts proposed for re-designation and / or re-deployment.
The Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana, Hyderabad shall take necessary action accordingly.
This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (HRM.I) Department vide their U.O. No. 5946-B/178/A1/HRM.I/1`5, dt. 30.05.2015.
