MLA or MLC will get 3 cores as Constituency Development Programme


Several Hon’ble MLAs/MLCs have represented to the Hon’ble Chief Minister to enhance the annual allocation under ‘Constituency Development Programme’ to Rs.300.00 lakh per MLA/MLC Constituency, in order to take up various developmental works in their respective Constituencies, MLA or MLC will get 3 cores as Constituency Development Programme to address the felt needs of the people. They have also requested to permit utilization of entire allocation under the ‘Constituency Development Programme(CDP)’ scheme, based on the proposals of Hon’ble MLAs/MLCs only.

Accordingly, Government after careful examination, hereby enhance the ‘Constituency Development Programme(CDP)’ scheme allocation from Rs.150.00 lakh to Rs.300.00 lakh, per annum for each MLA/MLC Constituency, with effect from the year 2016-17, to take up various developmental works in their respective Constituencies, as per the existing guidelines.

Further, the Government hereby modify the earlier sanctioning procedure laid down in the G.Os.4th and 5th read above and authorize the Hon’ble MLAs/ MLCs concerned to propose for sanction of developmental works under the ‘Constituency Development Programme(CDP)’ scheme, for their total entitlement of Rs.300.00 lakh, from the year 2016-17.

Accordingly, all the District Collectors are hereby permitted to accord sanctions for the eligible works under the CDP scheme, as per the existing guidelines issued in the references MLA or MLC will get 3 cores as Constituency Development Programme, by obtaining proposals worth Rs.300.00 lakh per annum, from the Hon’ble MLAs/MLCs concerned, from the year 2016-17 onwards.

This order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance(EBS.I) Department vide their U.O.No.830/141/EBS.I/A2/2016, dt.12.5.2016.
