Fee structure for the Students Admissions into Telangana Graduate Medical and Dental Professional Courses 2014 2


Government of Telangana with GO MS 9 and 10 on 25 August 2014 For Rule 6 ©, the following shall be substituted:

Category C(1) To fill up Management Seats : 25% of sanctioned intake of seats.

PROCEDURE FOR GRANT OF ADMISSIONS INTO UG (MEDICAL AND DENTAL COLLEGES UNDER THE MANAGEMENT QUOTA SEATS)

i. The individual college shall issue notification in two newspapers calling for application for admission into management quota seats in UG Medical and Dental Courses. The application forms will be issued to the prospective candidates on payment.

ii. The college office shall invariably issue applications to all the candidates who request for applications.

iii. The filled in applications along with necessary certificates shall be submitted by the candidates to the college office within the prescribed time fixed by the college office.

iv. The college shall invariably issue a receipt of the application received.

v. The college shall scrutinize all the applications received in respect of the eligibility in Biology, Physics and Chemistry subjects in 10+2 course.

vi. The college shall constitute a selection committee. The Committee conducting interview shall comprise of the following:-

1. Chairman : Dean / Principal / Director of the College.
2. One senior faculty member.
3. One member from management committee of the college

vii. The college shall prepare a final merit list of all the candidates on the basis of individual’s performance at qualifying examination which shall carry 85% weightage and marks obtained by the candidate in the interview which shall carry 15% weightage to assess the intent and aptitude towards the course and prevent multiple blocking of the seats in more than one college. The same shall be tabulated and displayed on the notice board of the college, and be sent to the Dr.NTRUHS for approval.

viii. Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences shall verify the merit list and accord approval

ix. The merit list approved by the Dr.NTRUHS containing the names of the applicants and the marks obtained by them shall be prominently displayed on the notice board of their respective college.

x. The college shall admit the candidates strictly in order of merit shown in the approved merit list.
Telangana Private Medical & Dental Colleges Management Association has requested the Government to fix the Fee Structure and to permit the Association to conduct Common Entrance Test for the seats as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in T.M.A. Pai Judgment, Islamic Association Judgment and Inamdar Judgment. The Association had invoked the jurisdiction of the Honorable High Court of Andhra Pradesh, vide W.P. No. 12346 of 2014, Dated: 29/04/2014 and Hon’ble Court was pleased to direct the Government to implement the directions given by the Hon’ble Supreme Court through aforementioned judgment. Meanwhile, the Government of India has formed the State of Telangana. The Association has requested the Government of Telangana to implement the direction of Hon’ble High Court in the above said Writ Petition in view of the directions of the Apex Court.

Now after having several rounds of discussions with the representatives of Telangana Private Medical & Dental Colleges Managements Association (TSPMDCMA), a consensus has been arrived on the above referred issues, between the TSPMDCMA and the Government.

The Government after careful examination have decided to amend the Andhra Pradesh Un-aided Non-Minority Professional Institutions (Regulations of Admissions into Under Graduate Medical and Dental Professional Courses) Rules, 2007 issued in G.O.Ms.No.136, HM&FW.(E1) Dept., dated 30th April, 2007, and as amended subsequently.

Accordingly, the following notification shall be published in the Extraordinary issue of the Telangana State Gazette, Dated: 27/08/2014

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 3 and 15 of the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1983 (A.P. Act No. 5 of 1983) the Governor of Telangana hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Un-aided Non-Minority Professional Institutions (Regulations of Admissions into Under Graduate Medical and Dental Professional Courses) Rules, 2007 issued in G.O.Ms.No.136, HM&FW.(E1) Dept., dated 30th April, 2007 and published in the Rules supplement to Part-I, A.P. Gazette No. 30, dated the 2nd May 2007 and as amended subsequently.

fee structure for Convener quota (50% for PG and 60% for UG) and Management quota(50% for PG and 40% for UG) seats in private Medical  and Dental Colleges was fixed in 2010-11 for the block period of 3 years 2010-11,2011-12 and 2012-13.

 

In the G.Os.7th & 8th read above, orders were issued retaining the existing tuition fee structure for the Private Un-Aided Non-Minority & Minority Medical and Dental Colleges for the academic year i.e., 2013-2014.

 

Now, after having several discussions with the representatives of  Telangana Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, a consensus has been arrived on  the issue of  enhancement of  fee structure for Management Quota seats  for the academic year 2014-2015.

 

The Government after careful examination of the matter has decided to retain the existing tuition fee structure for the category A & B and enhancing the fee for the Management Quota seats i.e. C1 category from the existing Rs.5.50 Lakhs to Rs.9.00 lakhs per annum and for category C2 (NRI) from the existing Rs.5.50 Laksh to Rs.11.00 lakhs per annum to the Non Minority Medical Colleges for the academic year 2014-2015. The enhanced fee structure is tabulated as below:-

The Government has also decided to retain the existing tuition fee structure for the category “A” seats in Un aided private Minority Medical Colleges  and enhancing the fee for the  Category B1 from the existing Rs.6.00 Lakhs to Rs.9.00 lakhs and category   B2 (NRI) from the existing Rs.6.00 Lakhs to Rs.12.00 lakhs for the academic year 2014-2015. The enhanced fee structure is tabulated as below:-

Government also decided to continue the existing fee structure for both the Minority and Non-Minority Private Un-aided Dental Colleges and also for the Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad for the academic year 2014-15.
