Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad, has stated that the S.P., CBI vide his letter dt:12.11.2014 has addressed a letter to Government stating that the functioning of CBI depends to a large extent on staff taken on deputation and that as per the Recruitment Rules, the following is the percentage of posts that need to be filled up by taking personnel on deputation and number of sanctioned posts in CBI, ACB:

The S.P., CBI, has also stated that in addition to the above sanctioned strength, the CBI, Headquarters may increase the staff strength depending up on operational requirement and hence Telangana Police Department has been approached but the
D.G.P. TS, in letter Rc.No.394/E2/2014-CBI, dt:25.9.2014 has requested to fix deputation quota from TS Police Department and hence he addressed Telangana Police Department to sponsor maximum number of officers/official sin the above ranks without any quota which will be beneficial for both CBI and Telangana Police.
The Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad, has informed that there is an acute shortage of men in the Telangana Police Department and the Department is not in a position to spare the police personnel without their Therefore, without fixing the deputation quota it is not possible to depute police personnel since the resultant vacancies cannot be filled. Hence by taking into account the above percentage of deputation quota and the request of S.P., CBI to sponsor maximum number of persons, the following deputation quota is fixed vide their office Proceedings Rc. No.394/E2/2014, dt:7.1.2015 to CBI from Telangana Police Department:

The G.P. Telangana, has further stated that no deputation quota has been fixed in respect of the rank of S.P. and D.S.P. as the deputation percentage of these posts is negligible. The Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad, has requested the Government approve the above apportionment and to ratify the orders issued by him vide his Proceedings Rc. No.394/E2/2014, dt:7.1.2015, so as to enable to take the above deputation posts into the permanent strength of Telangana Police Department, for the purpose of recruitment, promotion and for seniority.
The Government, after careful consideration of the matter, hereby ratify the action of the Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad, in fixing the deputation quota vide his office Proceedings No.394/E2/2014, dt:7.1.2015 to CBI from Telangana Police Department.
The Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad, is requested to take further necessary action in the (BY ORDER AND IN THE NAME OF THE GOVERNOR OF TELANGANA)
