17 Posts in Office of Advocate General on contract basis in Telangana

The learned Advocate General for the State of Telangana, High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad, in his Letter in the reference 6th read above, has stated that in the G.O.2nd read above, only 11 employees were provisionally ordered to work in the Advocate General Office of Telangana State. No Clerical cadre personnel were allotted in the said provisional allocation. Further, the Additional Advocate General appointed in the G.O. 4th read above, also assumed charge on 23.06.2014.   In this connection, he has stated that the Advocate General and the Additional Advocate General maintain office out of Court hours on all Court working days and on Saturdays and holidays during day time. Many high Officials visit the office on their departmental litigation work. Counters have to be drafted by the Law Officers within the deadlines prescribed by Courts. Opinions have to be given in the matters referred by the Departments. The Advocate General and the Additional Advocate General are being provided with 2 or 3 Government Pleaders for legal assistance. Apart from that several cases would be listed before various Courts and have to be watched regularly by the staff and for attending to the above works, supporting staff is required. The Advocate General and the Additional Advocate General are functioning with very minimal supporting staff and with the existing staff, it will not be possible to run the office smoothly. In these circumstances, he has requested the Government to create (5) posts of Senior Stenographers / Data Entry Operators posts, (6) posts of Junior Assistants and (6) posts of Office Subordinates on contract basis till the regular arrangements are made.
