Task Force for Inspection of Professional Colleges in the AP


Government of Andhra Pradesh have been issued for constitution of three tier Task Force Committee i.e., at 1) District Level 2) Regional Level, and 3) State Level to inspect the Professional Colleges to verify the infrastructural facilities created by the Private Institutions in terms of prescribed norms from time to time and also ensure quality education in all these institutions.

The Commissioner of Technical Education has informed that first meeting of the State Level Task Force Committee was held on 24.08.2012 and the Committee have made certain recommendations for additional Task Forces in certain Districts as the number of Colleges are more when compared to the other Districts and also requested to invite the representative of Director of Vigilance & Enforcement in the State Level Task Force meetings for better coordination.

Keeping in view of the suggestions made by CTE & State Level Task Force Committees, Government after careful examination hereby permit the CTE to constitute four additional District Level Task Forces in Ranga Reddy District and one additional District Level Task Force in each of the districts namely Hyderabad, Guntur, Nalgonda and Krishna on the similar pattern as indicated in the G.O. 2nd read above.

Government also have decided to permit the Convener of State Level Task Force to invite one officer from the office of the Director General, Vigilance & Enforcement as a Special invitee in the State Level Task Force meetings for better coordination with District and Regional Level Vigilance Officers.   The Director General, Vigilance & Enforcement shall nominate an officer to be a Special invitee in the said State Level Task Force, on receipt of the request from State Level Task Force.

The District Collectors / Joint Collectors are directed to supervise district level inspections and coordinate among the officers in District Level Task Forces as their services have been requisitioned from different departments

The expenditure incurred by the District level and Regional Level Task Forces towards conduct of meetings, T.A. & D.A. and transportation during the visit of Task Force Members to the Professional Colleges in the State shall  be borne by the A.P. State Council of Higher Education purely from its internal resources.

The  Commissioner of  Technical Education  and  the  Secretary, A.P.  State Council of Higher Education shall take further necessary action in the matter.
