State Level Multi Disciplinary Committee for grant-in-aid to NGOs


Department for Women, Children, Disabled & Senior Citizens – Streamlining the procedures for grant-in-aid to Non Governmental Organizations under various schemes/Programmes under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, GOI – Welfare of Older Persons – NGOs –   Schemes run on Grant-in-aid – Constitution of State Level Multi Disciplinary Committee for scrutiny and recommendations of proposals (new and Ongoing) under the scheme of Integrated Programme for Older Persons   to Government of India – Orders – Issued. Department for Women, Children, Disabled & Senior Citizens (Prog.II) G.O.MS.No. 5 Dt. -21-02-2015

Joint Secretary to Government of India, Min. of Social Justice and Empowerment,   has informed that   their Ministry is implementing various schemes/programmes through Non Governmental Organisation and releases grant in aid to them based upon the Inspection Report

/ Recommendation  from the States / Union Territories. He has also    informed that to facilitate timely decision  at their level,   the State/UT  is requested  to constitute     multi-disciplinary  “Grant  in  Aid  Committees  for  supporting  the voluntary organizations”.

Orders were issued constituting State Level Multi Disciplinary Committee for scrutiny and recommendation of proposals (new and Ongoing) under the scheme of Integrated Programme for Older Pers

Government of India enacted an Act, bifurcating the state of Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, in the Govt. Memo. 4th  read above,  the Director, Welfare of Disabled and Senior Citizens, Hyderabad  was requested to suggest the names of members from Government and also NGOs for re-constituting the State Level Multi Disciplinary Committees for Scrutiny and recommendation  of  the  proposals  (New  and  ongoing)  to  Govt.  of  India,    in respect of Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme, Integrated Programme for Older Persons and Prevention  of  Alcoholism  and Substance  (Drugs) Abuse. Accordingly, in the reference 5th  read above, she has suggested the names for Re-constituting the State Level Multi Disciplinary Committees for scrutiny and recommendation of the proposals under the above Schemes.

After careful examination of the matter, the Government hereby constitute a State Level Multi Disciplinary Committee for scrutiny and recommendation of the proposals (New and ongoing) under the Scheme of Integrated Programme for Older Persons received from the Director, Welfare of Disabled and Senior Citizens, Hyderabad. with the following composition:

The above Committee shall scrutinize the grant in aid proposals (new and ongoing)  received  from  the  Director,  Disabled  Welfare  and  recommend  the names of the organizations so as to enable the Government to forward the same to Government of India.

The Director, Disabled Welfare shall place the proposals before the Committee in appropriate format as per the check list prescribed by the Government of India for the consideration of the State Level Multi Disciplinary Committee.
