Mines and Minerals – Prospecting License Guntur District


, M/s. GVP Infra Projects (P) Ltd., have applied for grant of Prospecting License for Limestone over an extent of 619.587 Hectares in Sy.Nos.1126, 1127/B, 1159, 1160, 1173, 1051 etc., of Tangeda Village, Dachepalli Mandal, Guntur District for a period of (3) years

In the reference 2nd  read above, the Director of Mines and Geology, Hyderabad has sent the proposals for grant of Prospecting License for Limestone over an extent of 983.29 Acres/ 397.93 Hectares in Sy.No.1127/B of Tangeda Village, Dachepalli Mandal, Guntur District for a period of (3) years in favour of M/s. GVP Infra Projects (P) Ltd., as per Rule 12 of Mineral Concession Rules, 1960, subject to rejection of earlier Prospecting License application filed by M/s. Southern Mines & Minerals treating it as withdrawn, subject to condition that the applicant company while conducting the Prospecting operations shall not trespass into the prohibited area and subject to satisfaction of terms and conditions of Mines & Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, 1957 and MC Rules, 1960.

In the reference 3rd  read above, Government have rejected the earlier Prospecting License application of M/s. Southern Mines & Minerals treating it as withdrawn.

Government, after careful examination of the above proposal of the Director of Mines and Geology, Hyderabad hereby grant Prospecting License for Limestone over an extent of 983.29 Acres/ 397.93 Hectares in Sy.No.1127/B of Tangeda Village, Dachepalli Mandal, Guntur District for a period of (3) years in favour of M/s. GVP Infra Projects (P) Ltd., subject to satisfaction of Mines & Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 & MC Rules 1960 and the rules made thereunder in general and subject to condition that the applicant company while conducting the prospecting operations shall not trespass into the prohibited area and also subject to the conditions in Form-F  prescribed  under  the  Mineral  Concession  Rules,  1960  and  the additional conditions specified in the Appendix enclosed to this order.

The rate of prospecting fee will be Rs.5/- (Rupees Five only) per hectare of the land covered by the license for each year or portion of a year or as revised by the Government from time to time.

The grantee should deposit as security a sum of Rs.2,500/- per square kilometre and part thereof as prescribed in Rule 20 of the Mineral Concession Rules, 1960 before the license deed is actually executed.

The terms and conditions referred to in paras 4 to 6 of this order are subject to such further modifications, additions and alterations as may be ordered before the license deed is executed.

The  grantee  should  execute  the  license  deed  within  the  time  limit specified in Rule 15 of Mineral Concession Rules, 1960.

The Director of Mines and Geology shall take necessary further action for execution of the license deed after satisfying himself that the grantee fulfils all the required provisions of the amended Act and Rules before execution of the license deed. As soon as the license deed is executed, the date of such execution should be reported to the Government.

Note:-The grant is liable for cancellation, should it be found at later date that it was grossly inequitable or was made under a mistake of fact or owing to misrepresentation or fraud or in excess of authority.
