orders were issued for strengthening In-Patient  Services in the Government Hospitals and Medical Institutions and providing enhanced Diet Charges to the In-patients and duty doctors as per the rates mentioned at the statement at para 5 in the said G.O.

Govt., had issued orders for providing free diet to newly delivered mothers at Public Health Institutions under JSSK programme @ Rs.56/- per day (3 days for normal deliveries and 7 days for C-sections).

The Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, AP., Hyderabad, in his letter 3rd read above has informed that the Government of India, has enhanced the unit cost towards diet under JSSK programme from Rs.56/- to Rs.100/- per day per each newly delivered mother. Therefore, he has requested to issue revised orders  to provide better nutritious food to the delivered mothers at PHI for Rs.100/-.

Government after careful examination of the matter in detailed and hereby enhanced the unit cost of Diet charges under J.S.S.K. programme from Rs.56/- to Rs.100/- to provide better nutritious food to the delivered mothers at PHI  with the following revised menu.

Menu for newly delivered mothers under JSSK

Breakfast (7.30 AM to 8.30 AM) (any one of the items for breakfast) Quantity
Idly (150 gms) with Sambar / Chatnee (100 ml) 4 nos.
Pongal / Kichidi / Upma (with 100 gms ravva and

100 gms Black gram dal + chatnee / bread 100 gms + Milk with 10 gms. Sugar

Cooked Rice / 6 Phulka (6.inch.Dia) 450 gms
Green Leafy Vegetable Dal (1/2 cup) 150 gms
Vegetable Curry (1 cup) 100 gms
Sambar (with 45 gms redgram Dal) 150 ml
Boiled Egg 1 no.
Curd (200 ml) 200 ml
Fruit 1 no.
Tea Break (3.00 PM to 5.00 PM)
Poha / Chikkies / Laddu (ground nut 50 gm + jiggery 25 gms mixture) 125 gms
Milk 150 ml
Dinner (6.00 PM to 8.PM)
Cooked Rice / 6 Phulka (6.inch.Dia) 450 gms
Vegetable Curry 100 gms
Samber (with 45 gms redgram Dal) 150 gms
Curd / Butter Milk (200 ml) 200 ml
Banana / orange / apple / papaya / guava 2 nos.

The Superintendents of the Teaching / Maternity Hospitals, Superintendents of the District Hospitals / Area Hospitals, In-charge Medical Officers of Community Health Centres and Medical Officers of Primary Health Centres shall provide above mentioned free diet to the newly delivered mothers under J.S.S.K. scheme and maintain separate registers for provision of diet under JSSK scheme. The other terms and conditions in the read above are hold good.

The implementing doctors shall maintain separate registers for utilization of funds under JSSK Scheme for providing free diet to the newly delivered mothers.

The Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, AP., Hyderabad shall take further necessary action accordingly
